Suspicious Activity Debuff

So this morning I had a GM messing with a bot via applying Suspicious Activity which seems like it locks your character in place and then they observe what you're doing to see if you're a bot.

I called the GM a jerk in /say and then went to an object and pretended like I was alt tabbing to look it up/a quest. He was watching me for about 1minute before i intercepted and I am currently waiting to see if that account will get banned. I was using the questing plugin.

Aside from sharing information of me messing with a GM I wanted to ask how the programs picks up the debuff. I have seen it happen on other servers up until now but never my own server, I have seen the AB "bubble" announcements of when a GM is detected on a server, Aranzeb this morning was a GM messing with me.

Does the program read our debuffs and sends out an alert to everyone when that debuff is detected on someone botting? If so, has anyone ever been banned or suspended without this debuff? I find the alert very helpful considering the second I saw it on my server I started paying attention and was able to see a GM messing with me.

Also worth noting, that character got reported with "detected user" or whatever it is, the debuff you gotta go to an executioner to clear earlier this morning. It was only on him for 4min though before I removed it. Seems like it could be relevant information regardless though.

That account got banned + the account I mail my gold too.

It looks like they actually investigate things now. That's really annoying, having your bank character being under such risk if one of your bots gets banned

Got another ban, never even got a GM alert for my server or a debuff of any kind.

Seriously, ban rate in this game is nuts. No one here shares any info to avoid it so if you're thinking of buying the bot - don't. You're wasting your money.

There's a whole thread of ban reports mate. Nothing useful though. Questing is basically instant ban though. Been multiple threads on avoiding it at least last I checked. I had to quit using the bot I got caught three times too many...

it's nothing AB or the comunity can do if a GM manually checks if u are botting.
Bans in this game are pretty ridiculous tbh, they just ban if they activelly see u botting.

There's a whole forum section on it! The problem is people just say "I was banned" and there is no proper ban template like the WoW forums here. Seeing what people do that gets them banned is helpful for others. I have read that questing is pretty much an instant ban now (which it never was before).

I haven't gotten banned since that time, but it seems like a GM goes from server to server every so often and bans all the bots there. I feel like the second I see the little bubble pop up that a GM is on my server I am screwed. Other than that though, I never get banned until a GM comes on my server.


The most annoying thing though I see is they disabled the AH if you've never subbed to the game before and I know that selling gold through the AH = instant ban. That's why i quit in the past, I didn't like having my bank accounts banned each time but now I am botting differently and am not really using large bank accounts like I did before.


It still seems profitable to bot this game, but my math is only saying about 2 - 3$ a day for the questing bot. I have tried other methods in Archeage and every single one is too time consuming for the profit made. At least with the questing bot I spend like ~5min a day making 20-25$. The only time consuming part is making new emails/selling gold and I don't have to worry about making new emails for months as I had over 100 from when I used to do archeage before

i will share mine, i had like 2x account for planting, one day i believe a GM looked into me and my ACC getting banned one by one, i stopped the rest of my bot and i see 2 of them are picking up by the GM to the sky like getting bubbled but without the bubble. Becoz i stopped the bot, those character didnt get an instant ban. However it must be flagged becoz the rest of account were banned the next day. It happened about few weeks ago

It sounds like about what happen with me, the chars the GM watched but didn't instant ban got flagged and ANY account they associated with it seems got banned. I figured "Cool I caught it in time, no ban!" then sent all my shit off the character just incase to my bank toon and wham they both got slapped.

Next time I am going to mail my loot to the first troll in chat so me and him get banned.

There is more, i opened accounts again and use level 1 to plant, but they all got banned together last night. I had one account didnt bot at all, different ip, starts by archebuddy, hand level to 9, get banned as well, i dunno how they got this one.

Can I ask how many accounts have you had banned in the past? Roughly over the entire time playing Archeage. I am curious if after say 100 bans they start logging your mac address and stuff. My working theory is, everyone who says they can't even make an account without being banned is they've been banned too many times and Trion now tracks something they do. Either mac address, IP, or something that distinguishes an individual
