I realize noone knows exactly how Blizzard's bans and how they catch us. It's all speculation. However this topic isn't about that.
I read the forums from time to time especially the ban report section. But everytime I read some topics I realize I'm wasting my time. Let's face it: 99% of topics are made by trolls that like to cause discomfort.
My suggestion:
Only allow ban reports if people post screenshot of account ingame, screenshot of ban message when you login game + battletag
Why battletag? Because everytime someone logs out this will be added on their public user profile "Last updated on 13 Apr 2013 17:55 BST" This way we can verify more accurately if the claim is legit. If the account is banned the last update on their profile will never change.
This suggestion is not 100% foolproof. But atleast it keeps 99% of fake reports away.
You don't want to post your battletag? Then don't make a banreport. I don't see any con.
Unless you guys enjoy reading fake reports. I certainly don't.
I like to hear your opinions.
