Stuck in combat, is there a solution?

its hard to get fixed because the game still thinks your in combat. its always been a problem. but there are very few area's where there is idle combat happening, if you can, id suggest you find another location to grind. ive been here for more then 3 years, getting stuck in technical combat by NPC's fighting around you is a bitch because from a programming standpoint you ARE in combat, so yea, "theres nothing we can do about it."

Logmeout with option "log out of 5 mins in combat" and option to use heartstone before the log out works like a charms.

Seriously, they need to add logmeout plugin in the default pluggins.

So, it's that hard to find the mob that's keeping me in combat and go there and kill it(usually the mob is within 10yd range)? Or simply pick a path and walk straight forward until it gets out of combat? This is hard? It doesn't matter what the game thinks, it matters what the bot thinks. Again I find it hard to believe that it's hard to do something about it, like "if the bot is in combat longer than 2 minutes with no results, choose a """"safe"""" path and walk until out of combat" I don't think that choosing a "safe" path or something like that is hard to be implemented, since the bot already chooses "safe spots" when reviving..
then feel free to make a plugin that implements this, since you think you can resolve the issue.

Why go around looking for a random mob when you know where you can find a plugin? :)

I already said that I do not know how to develop a plugin, if I knew, I wouldn't be here spending my time arguing with you. Loging out wouldn't really help, but adding a hearthstone to that might do the job.

CodenameG, there's nothing in the world that can't be solved, it just takes time and resources, the question is not if you can or can't do it, the question is if you(the devs in general) are willing to spend the time and resources to do it.

There are already at least 3 ideas in this thread on how to fix it, and you're still telling me that it's impossible? Back to the previous row ^ .

Hi, Darkbound,

So to summarize...
  • You'd like to make a "feature request" that Honorbuddy "leave areas when it is in combat, and the bot cannot determine which mob is throwing it in combat. Since we can't mount in this situation, the bot should just start running in an arbitrary direction until it is no longer in combat"?

  • And you'd also like to state that "the currently provided method of blackspotting an area to avoid this situation entirely is not good enough"
Is this a correct summary of your position?

If so, then the former will need some significant analysis by HBdev as to how it affects normal questing. There will be all kinds of unintended side-effects of that behavior that I can think of. But, that discussion is not appropriate for the Support forum.

You should make one last post with a somewhat formal final request, so the mods can clearly understand what exactly you want. And the proposal can be relayed to the HBdev team.

THEN, this thread should be closed. Arguing about it here is pointless. This is a Support forum--to get things going--we do not have the power to modify the code to your liking.

cheers,

Well, if I am the only one that's dealing with this problem (nobody else seems to respond here) then it's not worth it to spend time and resources to try to find a solution for this problem.

How to solve it, that's up to the devs I just had some simple ideas, this can be included only for the GB2 bot so that it doesnt affect the questing, I never said that my ideas are perfect they are a product of 20 seconds thinking.

What must be considered is if it's worth to spend the time and resources to find a solution for this or not, that's the bottleneck.

There's nothing impossible, it's all about the money, money, money... So if the "headquarters" decide that this may somehow be worth to look into, add it to the "wishlist for christmas", that's all. And if I am the only one that's dealing with this problem, then you can just ignore me, because if our places were switched and only one out of thousands users had this problem, well I wouldn't bother myself either.

thx for your suggestions
