Stratholme farming run - nothing fancy, simple.

  • Clears the Living side, not a mount run: Rep and mat farming only.
  • I need to brush up this post as well as find a working addon to open those gates so this profile use a complete circle afk. Need to check the Interact Plugin.
  • I have yet to try this on a melee class but I assume its more profitable than a class with pet.
  • Improvements welcome, otherwise, I'm not pro - just contributing.

Start at the Main entrance, exit at the side entrance.

I have been really busy lately & not been on wow much, thus haven't had much time to bot & update my Plugin for the current HB version. However if it still works my Interact Plugin should do the job. Again I haven't released a current version release so it may not work. Feel free to try it, Also thanks for the profile.

does this do the entire instance? (live + undead) and the baron for the mount?
 
This should come in very handy to collect pristines for the people rushing to get insane :D

Interact was working fine when I was running the mount profile. Occasionally it would keep running at the gate, but would eventually open the door when HB realised it had been running for a while.

Do you think its HB not noticing the gate is there quick enough or an error in the Plugin? I realise it can probably be difficult to say. But if theres anything I can try fix I'l give it a go.
 
Interact does work, I'll experiment with making two profiles - Argent Dawn Rep and a Complete Run.

The profile I was using had a run from the gauntlet to the zigs, the author said you had to open the gate manually. The profile just tries to run through the locked gate, obviously it needs a key to do this. Hb is doing its job, it expects a clear path to run thru, the gate stops it. I installed interact and when HB stopped because it had been running on the spot, interact started to work. You can't open a gate while running away, even when playing by hand, I don't think there is anything wrong with HB or Interact, just the profile probably needs a halt in it somewhere I have no idea how to do that)

There is a priofile allready for just the mount run, using the backdoor entrance, you obviously need the key. the original author doesn't reply to emails. the profile is bugged, it misses one of the zigs and goes directly to the gate where the baron is and can't get in because the gate isn't open because the accolytes haven't been killed on the third boss.

The profile itself is quite slow (40 min clear) and basically runs into many mobs it could avoid, but it is the only current one and thanks to the author for making it in the first place. I can run it by hand in about 10 mins, just stick to the walls and you don't agro many mobs. I think a profile that is this tight would be great.

I think we need 3 profiles, 1 that kills enough bosses for the classic dungeon achieve and gets the key, 1 that farms the whole thing, one that is just a backdoor run to farm the mount, easy to type, not so easy to do :)

I agree, I think adding Hotspots where you want the gate to be opened should solve this. Not too sure though.
 
I think you mean having hotspots close together to force the bot to path through the gates, otherwise having a hot spot doesn't make it act any different than before.

Right now it does a circle naturally quite well, like I said I really need to extend the path and maybe fork the profiles.
 
well wouldnt it be possible to do a mount run together with this profile?...isnt this a doable task?, to edit this profile mixing it with the mount profile...if you had this complete and flawlessly running this would attract a lot of botters.
 
There is a profile for the mount, but doing the entire Stratholme would obviously serve a different need. In my opinion, you do Stratholme for the following reasons:

1. Mount
2. Rep
3. Farming (PBD, etc)

Otherwise, I don't see a reason to continually do that. All 3 can be combined into the speed run, however, usually if you are farming mats you want to afk 20-30 minutes and have confidence the entire instance is being farmed.
