its not that we dont believe you. but a screenshot with a timestamp would give a tiny sliver of hope.

well, give someone a tiny sliver of hope

my bank is drained dry.

no more money for new accounts.

i guess blizzard will have a great 1st quarter report.

Botted a DK from 90-110 in less than 12 hours mid Jan. Never had a bot touch this account since missed the Feb 1 ban wave. Was tanking a Mythic DHT when poof banned. No Email nothing. Sent in a ticket and was replied to immediately stating no reason just that " Thank you so much for your time today.

I reviewed your request to investigate the action on your World of Warcraft account, and want to take a few moments to ensure that all of your concerns and questions are answered with as much information as possible.

Starting off, I had a chance to review and research this issue from the beginning to provide me with a full picture of what occurred leading to the penalty. The results of my investigation revealed that the actions taken on your account were done appropriately, leading to the banning of your World of Warcraft account. So because of this, the action on your account has been upheld.

As we have investigated this account action, we consider it to be closed and further contacts about it may be abandoned without a response.

We understand that these policies may seem harsh, but they are in place to ensure that every player is able to enjoy their time in our games. Thank you for respecting our position."

I guess blizz have decided that the court decisions/surprise payments werent fast enough, and just began to hammer hb with banwaves until crumbles on its own. This retro-active banwave straight after the other one is pretty crazy, i wonder how far they could keep digging if they tried.

The reason you get banned is because Blizzard scans your computer for the HonorBuddy.exe file or files that match a given search profile. I work at a major IT company in Europe and i know just how they do it. We do the same with our software to protect our customers from any injected malware, ransomeware etc. So just because you stopped botting does not secure you as long as you still have 3. part bot software like HonorBuddy installed on the computer you play WoW on. Infact you can get banned even if you never botted on a WoW account just for playing on a PC that has HonorBuddy installed!
I just started playing on the 27. January after i been away from WoW for 8 years(busy working) I started right out with 5 accounts and got keys for HonorBuddy the same day. I got hit by the first banwave here in February and got banned on all 5 accounts. SUCK! hehe. well i asked Bossland politely for a refund and 5mins later i got my money back. SUPER service i would say. Then i uninstalled HonorBuddy and complained to Blizzard that also responded very fast with auto replys saying that, i was a botter, they had all the proff, they have all the right, ELU, Bla bla bla..
Then i bought 5 new WoW accounts and now im gonna give LUA programming a try and just run with that. i think i will try HonorBuddy again in a month or so when the bans have cooled down but then it will be on another computer on another battle.net account so i dont lose my mains again!

If anyone could point me to info about safe channeling gold from bots to mains i would highly appreciate it.

We carefully watch the number of HB users online and its not falling. That implies that this is not a detection banwave but we are looking for signs of detection.

It must be falling, we are getting banned.

How is there no correlation between online prior to the multiple reports today and the number of users online?

I got banned some accounts that botted 1-2 month ago (FishBot, RaidBot). I guess blizz works with old scans!

Since you are US, just chargeback, whats the issue?

Got a new account up and running after the latest update and it has been going non-stop since then. Still not banned and it's still going strong. Not sure if I'm just getting a delayed ban or what it is but so far so good. Might it be that I reinstalled Windows after the wave? Went back to W7 after the wave because I was bored.

not true, I have two installed wow.
one installed on the c: drive other on e: drive..honorbuddy only use the c: drive..with battle.net luncher
HB use wow in c:disk, when I start playing use wow in E:disk
I never got a ban on the account, which is located on the e: drive

Started 3 accounts yesterday, not banned yet. Questing 24/7 with random 1h breaks.

...snip...

Blizzard does not do that.

Got hit just now , botted last around 20th of December

Thought i would share my 2cents as well , got banned just now on a battlechest account i bought just after November banwave. Last time i botted was before christmas and have not had the energy to bot again after that yet , my guess would be that HB has been detectable for quite a while after the last major banwave or just plain the whole time. The only good thing is i have not upgraded the account to legion yet , perhaps that is why the ban was delayed /shrug

My backup legion account that i run on my main pc without botting software is fine though.

The questions about todays bans are:

1. did you reinstall windows to change your hwid ?
2. do you have a static ip
3. did you buy in Blizzards shop with payment information you used on already banned accounts?
4. did you use the same bnet account again just with a new key?
5. did you bot with the banned account before the 1st feb bannwave and this account just wasnt caught?

If you were banned and you can answer only one of these questions with yes, then you might probably be flagged and this caused the ban. I setup a new virtual machine yesterday, the account went straight last night, no ban.

If my account wont get banned in the next days it shouldnt be a detection vendor inside wow, I'm using all the stuff to avoid beeing flagged since years (vms, private vpns eg)

1. You can change HW ID but first you need to understand what HWID and how they are 'generating' it. Reinstalling windows may not help you as HWID security or identifiers are made up of different components and identifiers of components. It could be the gpu clock, the ram, the gpu ram, the speed, the rate - it could be anything they choose to identify.

2. IP means shit

3. Payment information is quite strict in storage, its not visible as its a legal requirement on how business is run. It is hashed and thus could not be searched as the same bnet would need to use the same payment already stored AS A HASH IS GENERATED EACH TIME

4. This is the only thing that might make sense.

each VM is automatically assigned a universal unique identifier (UUID). This new UUID is based on the physical computer's identifier and the path to the virtual machine's configuration file in its location.

If you are not created each vm from scratch and just booting a fresh image each time its possible the UUID will remain constant BUT it also identifies as a VM - VM doesnt have HW thus no hwid and identifies on software request as UUID

UUID is enough to tell Blizzard if they wanted to that you are playing inside a VM. Not to mention the 3d acceleration from your graphics cards is not visualised and leaks a whole between the vm and pc.

I think its your bedtime mate.
