Still find PVP a bit.....crap

Don't get me wrong, the PVP aspect of HB has improved over time but im still having basic issues which to me make it pretty obvious i'm a bot. These are :

1) While mounted and riding past a fight, it doesn't dismount and help - it just carries on (which leads to abuse such as 'Thanks for your help, you twat')

2) Similar to number 1....If a large fight is going on involving multiple people, it quite often dismounts and then just stands there watching, doing nothing. Almost as if he wants to grab a chair and some popcorn and just enjoy the show.

3) Somtimes (actually all the time in AV this weekend) it will mount up, run forwards then suddenly turn around, run the other way for a few yards then turn around again and carry on. It looks crap. No human player does this.

I found that it has a LOT to do with what CCs you're using.

I was doing the call to arms AV weekend a few days ago, and my character was ALSO standing around "watching" big fights, and doing nothing (it looked suspicious). I was really confused at first. I was using the popular skiWarlock CC. I tried switching to the DBwarlock CC, and bam! Everything improved. My character became more involved in fights and stopped standing around.

I completely agree with you. I have been having the same problems.

PVP botting desperately needs a makeover. It doesn't even properly target people!

You'll save your team a load of trouble if you go AFK instead of suicide botting. Saves them reinforcements.

It's all about the CC, skiwarlock does really good with fighting the right targets, not standing around.... But my bot also will turn around and run back to his last "click to move" spot if he misses it from a jump/fall or w/e. TBH being AV weekend I've had fun playing myself. Just letting the bot que/grind when out of the BG.

I have used the default profile and also the few floating around on these forums I'm not happy with either... But they are free and until I make my own.... I have no room to complain.

Got the same issues, not running CCs that support PvP really tho.

Don't expect to be banned (haven't gotten a single pm about any of the odd behavoirs).

I think alot none knowing players think your either laggning or just a horrible player.

When I used to play my chars during the AV weekend I would just stand around and slack. I watch my horrible 2-20 stats or so, and notice there is alot other players in the BGs with the same stats.

Putting the bot infront of 39players (-all other bots) + 40 enemies is risky tho.

Just saying calculate the risk/benefit, I do hope these parts will be improved aswell tho but some people seem to be doing pretty decent with some classes (healing mainly).

2) Bot gets lost while on the fucking road. It moves back and forth.
3) Bot ignores an entire battle as it just rides on.
4) Bot walks into watchtowers only to exit instantly, ignoring any enemies inside.
5) Bot keeps riding as it is being attacked.
6) Bot goes to sleep when knocked off mount.
7) Bot gets stuck by wooden spike fences and fire cauldrons.
8) Bot never fucking hits anyone.

It really needs to be fixed because PVP botting supposedly is the feature that sets HonorBuddy ahead of other bots. Look at its name! HONOR BUDDY. It claims to farm honor for you! The sad truth is that it does so by blatant bot behavior that can only be described as "suicide botting".

No staff member has even spoken about this problem yet. The closest we've gotten was Hawker's post.

Can you tell us a spot where it consistently happens?

Its not a specific situation problem. Its with the entire bot.

I have to agree with: 1, 2, 3, 4,

It does seem quite odd, especially to see a single person run off away from the massive zerg of players to attack things like towers and such, and only towers. It needs to have a function where it runs along with a pack of players to attack the defense or Vice-Versa, run to our base to defend them if somehow it could "detect" our boss under attack or something. Though this may be difficult it may make it seem more human like.

To make this post constructive and not just a rant at how "bad" this bot is for PvP heres some ideas to improve it:

1. Make it be able to detect a pack of players, such as when re-spawning detect which way a "pack" of players is running, similar to making it follow someone but make it travel X amount of feet away.
2. Give it the ability to be able to capture bunkers (it may already have this function depending of plugins such as the AB one)
3. Make it seem more fluid, currently (for my bot) it stops dismounts then casts its opener. Perhaps if it could cast its skill as its still on its mount while charging at them.
4. Also, in PvP people seem to like to circle and run around your character like crazy so perhaps a way for your toon to be able to do that. I have no idea how that could be implemented though.

Yet to get any of my melee classes to kill anyone solo. They dont have sufficiently precise movement. I wanna see HB SPAMMING right click on the person so you stick to them like glue

In my opinion the biggest problem is that Honorbuddy doesn't care about tactics.
In AB for example it can spawn at the same base for ten times and then take ecactly the same route away from there and suicide in exact the same 5 enemys at the same base it did 10 times before.
Makes ist look more botish than anything else could ever do.

I've ran all weekend on 2 accounts in av, The main profile for av is a bit poor and looks so bad, i downloaded one that people created, downloaded the cc's for my classes that were decent and away I went, farmed dont know how much honor over the weekend but almost geared out the my last char. Yeah there is bugs in the system but when you see some others botting then hb isn't the worst but then it still needs a bit of improvement. Av is probably the best to bot as there is 40 other people in the bg and the last thing they worry about is your running about like a headless chicken and killing the odd person. I've been in on my main playing and seen my bot running about, he didn't look like a bot when I passed him just somebody who was a poor pvp player or poorly geared
