Still cant get DB working

So I bought my licence about 4 days ago and havent got it to work once. throughout alot of troubleshooting I'm currently stuck at the flashing window, where DB then stops responding. I have manually installed the .net and C++ packages, and used the wizard x2. My computer already had the packages, its jsut when i run wizard it does a quick C++ package repair (vs the uninstall). But I believe they're ok. I have 'Run as Administrator' Checked, I've even tried it by right clicking and running as admin. I'm using "artemis sarkoth" with the 'Artemis God of_____' plugin. I've disabled microsoft essestials and this other A/V program called eTrust, with no effect. The only thing thats effected it was logging off of computer. After each time it stops responding I have to log off completely or the DB will say max licenses used. I've gotten it past the 'flashing window' a few times, but the character doesnt go anywhere. He just stays put. I'm mostly here cause I dont know if its worth my effort, like maybe i did get it working during those few times, but the nav server was having issues. I'd like to put forth some more effort to make it work but, im running low on options. Can someone help?

Character not moving = nav server being down
If it's crashing on load, generally that's a .net framework error or redistributive c++ package error.
To fix max sessions register the e-mail you used to purchase your sessions to register here... Register - Buddy Auth Portal there you can force-close your sessions.
I'd recommend trying different profiles.
 
what baout char walking to gate and pacing back and forth? this happened at first and I'm worried its going to happen again... any thoughts?
 
Update: its working, I finally uninstalled C++ package, restarted pc and reloaded C++ and on 3rd attempt it just started working... Only like 70k an hour though, no idea how some are doing 300 or 400k, thats rediculous.

Would you please elaborate on how did you get it working? The third attempt of what got it going - of win restart, c++ redistr. re-install, DB start/stop, DB run/stop ?

I tried any suggestion I was able to find and mine just loops at "creating" a game:

The settings button doesn't work either ... but having in mind the hint of "start DB first, then stop it, and then Settings will work" I think that is why the Settings don't work.

To summarize:
  • Using the latest release of DB, just downloaded it few hours ago
  • My box is with Win7 64
  • D3 is in window mode with all settings on Low + Low FX
  • No plugins are installed in DB
  • I have .NET framework v4 and I re-installed it (with restarts between install end remove) 4 times now
  • I have C++ redistr. 2010 x84 AND x64, and I re-installed it (with restarts in between) 5 times now
  • I am logged in as Administrator, running DB as admin makes no difference but still, I even tried that
  • I tried several profiles ... to make sure that the issue is not profile related

Forgot to mention that I already tried removing the files DB creates in the folders "CompiledAssemblies" and "Settings".

alright so i had about hours of fame since that post, then patch out came out and i d/l new DB version and I'm back to where i was. Says Flashing window>>Window flashes, then DB stops responding. then i have to log into auth buddy and manually stop my session or take down internet (or i get max sessions).
What I've done:
-Uninstall C++ and .net 4.0 completely, restarted and reinstalled using wizard and restarted again.
-I am an admin, its being run as admin.
-I've tried running it at different screens with no result.
-Restarting does nothing.
-Turned off A/V.

-The problem has to reside with .Net or C++, however uninstall, repair, restarting does nothing.

-Thoughts: someting in registry? When i D/L the NEW DB, Window automatically checked the 'Run as Admin" for me... so maybe theres something behind that? dont know enough about this program though.
 
ok Update: Got it working again..... right clicked on DB>>compatability>> Run as Vista SP2, Disable Desktop Composition>>Disable Display scaling on high DPI settings>>click on Change settings for All users>>'Run as Admin'>>click 'ok' on that window>>click 'ok' on original window>> Run Db with diablo at Char selection.
 
ok, it didnt work... I restarted to test for reliability. it failed. the farthest i can get now is clicking on 'start' and DB says i could not load "some assembly" (from compiled assemblies). i think some security issue, because the file IS there, but it cant load it...
