State of the game - Why I bot

So, I just wanted to clean out my thougts about this stupid game and the stupid RNG of it... There is to much fucking randomness in this game.

So I have been botting hardcore for the last 1-2 months and I have 2500 forgotten souls to show for it. (Could have many more, but spent many on enchanting shit and rerolling to)
But I still havent been able to find what I am looking for. Shard of Hate and Fate of the Fell.

But two of my buddies:
One that started one week ago and has already gotten 2 x shard of hate and 1 x wand of woh. (He dont bot, just plays 10 hours an day)
Other that have played since RoS release but are only able to play 2 times a day at max and have found 2 x shard of hate, 2 x fate of the fell, tasker and theo, frostburn +++.

My bot have together gotten 10 times there legendaries counter, but they have gotten all the shit I want.

THIS IS THE REASON WHY I BOT THIS SHITTY GAME AND FIND NO JOY IN PLAYING IT BY HAND ANYMORE.

Ive played Diablo 3 vanilla myself for all this time, but it was when we transferred to RoS and I noticed how shitty RNG, luck, shit, call it whatever you like. I saw all my clanmates got their shards and thunderfurys +++ I started to bot this shit, but even that have not helped.

Well now I got this of my chest :)

What is the reason why YOU bot?

I bot because it is against TOS and that excites me! Not knowing when I will get banned is thrilling and is the only joy I get from this game.
 
I bot because I work during the day and have night school during the night, the rare free time I have I like to mess around with different builds and gear options, botting allows me to play the game the way I want to play, without any of the repetitiveness of grinding 24/7 for gear I need/want.
 
So no other then me bot because of the totally IDIOTIC randomness of this game? :)
 
Man, same problem as you, botting for 1.5 months but only Shard Of Hate dropped from Ghom, all other gears i got was looted from playing by hand (starmetal kukri, wand of woh, mara ...)
But you should not stop botting ? Why ? You need paragon level, ok. Keep botting untill 800-1000 paragon level, then you can stop.
 
I'm in the same boat as you. I hate the random item with random stats with random rolls... not to mention the tables are off balance because they clearly favor defensive stats rather than offensive.

Why do they even have different random item slots. they have like 8 legendary bracers but beside the 1 unique effect (which they can randomize!) they're all equally the same item. They need to restrict the stat tables for different items to actually make items unique imo.
 
If you don't like the randomness Diablo simply isn't the game for you, probably never has been

Yup, it ruins the hole fun of the game for me totaly.

Atleast when it so random and I have farmed for months and months and havent gotten what I am looking for and a buddy begins at get it all in 1 week....

D1's uniques had fixed stats, and magic items only had 2 affixes. It was all about Obsidian Rings of the Zodiac and King's Swords of the Stars. Much less randomness.

Anyway. I’m going to answer here only because I’m pretty sure Blizz either a) really doesn’t care at all about botting, in which case it’s all moot, or b) does, in which case I’m sure they’re lurking around.

First, you need to understand how I play. I enjoy building characters within the limits of the game, and I enjoy going through new, challenging content. Incremental increases in monster HP and damage does not qualify as new or challenging, it’s just a lot of moving target dummies, who happen to kill you if you’re under a certain dps/toughness threshold. RNG is not challenge either, it’s just a timesink. So all that’s left to me is, in fact, the character building aspect. That’s fine, I happen to find that a lot of fun.

Since D3V came out, I’ve had one build I wanted to try. Trying out a build means theorycrafting something around a basic concept (here: Strafe) and trying to max out its effectiveness; then testing it out in-game, going back and making some changes, until at some point I’m satisfied that I’ve gone as far as I could. Then, I try another build (which may or may not be on another class). I don’t try out a new build until I’m done with the previous one; it’s just how I do things.

Since RoS came out, I’ve had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted to try. This requires some items to achieve. These items don’t drop. I mean, I’ve been looking for one specific item since RoS came out. Dumped all my shards on that slot. Joined shared loot runs. And after a month I couldn’t take it anymore, so I started botting. And now it’s been almost a month, and… that item still hasn’t dropped. I’ve something like 400 FS in my stash and alts with inventories full of items that might, perhaps, at some point come in handy for future builds I’ll want to try (or followers) – but I won’t start playing other characters because I know that the minute I do is the moment when that one item drops, with all the wrong stats. It basically came down to this: either I quit, or I bot. So I bot, and basically ‘play’ the game for 30 minutes a day when I sort and salvage my day’s loot. Occasionally I get a small upgrade (like half a percent more CC or something). Most of the time though, it’s not even that exciting.
 
I bot to sell accounts, made about 3 grand since RoS started just selling accounts
 
Shard of Hate got nerfed. It's not really useful anymore unless you're melee-face rolling with a Witch Doctor or Lightning Barbarian. Even then SoH doesn't proc that much anymore so gg :x.
 
I started botting as i got tired of always getting garbage while seeing others in my clan get good stuff, one day another botter in my clan started to id like 20 - 30 legs and i asked him about it and he turned me over to this site.

Since then i have managed to get all kinds of legs on my wizard except the wand of woh, so im now botting for it, after a couple of weeks botting i realized i didnt even want to play the game anymore as the bot would be more efficient than me and that pretty much says alot about how garbage this game is, however i will bot until i get banned and then go and write a lengthy fuck you post in the blizz forums.

I want to get banned actually so i can start playing path of exile, i have hears some good things about it or maybe something else i dont know.

^ My friend's been botting to past lvl 500+, he still has no fury, no shard of hate, no wand of woh, nothing to actually show for it. Pretty fucking sad if you ask me. I myself 500+ , and got 400+ levels on my wiz. Still no wand of woh. Not to mention even IF I get one, the RNG could be shit on it, so we've got RNG on top of RNG. This game is ridiculous.
 
I bot because I don't want to spend 10 hours a day in front of my computer playing this game - Which kinda is required if you want to be "competitive" at all and do T5 + T6 rifts. I enjoy rifting with a good group, it's just very relaxing after a tough day at work / school but if you want to get there, you have to play a lot. Or bot. I chose to do the latter.

So when im at the library / school / work during the day I bot, and when I come home in the evening I go through the legendaries that have dropped, sort them out and then rift for 1-2 hours in the evening, to relax and have some fun ;)
 
I started botting since last week just for the paragon lvls , found 1 soh , 1 wand of wow , several stone of jordans , 1 legendary pot but no TF , i found 1 before i started botting so i'm alright atm :D dunno what keeps me from botting , the thing is
if you start botting you just wont stop
 
between work, family and gaming, something has got to give in. I love the game(atleast the concept) to much to leave it. I actually like the randomness of the game, it may be a bit frustrating at times, but overall I like it. Gives me a reason to check up my bot. Lol
