I'm using an Ancient Only stash loot list and unfortunately, my Stash is near to overflowing as I only have about half a tab left. One tab by itself is items such as gems (regular and legendary), machines, potions, materials, etc. I actually had to 'sell' 15,000 of the rare material to make space for more grinding. A lot of the items I have left in my stash are legendary versions of items that I have already cubed or the best I've gotten of pieces of set armors. Not to mention Puzzle Rings and Bovine Bardiches.

What do you do to clear up your inventory space and make more room for your bot to fill over time? I know as you go higher into the Rifts and Grifts, legendaries drop more often meaning higher chance at Ancients.

Just because the item is an ancient, doesn't mean it's good. 90% of the items in this game are trash ancient or not. You should really strictly limit your gear choices. Go for the seasonal OP picks after you get an early game farming set. Everything else is going to get trashed and turned into mats. Also keep puzzle rings + bovine bardiche if you enjoy those special levels. Start leveraging your mats by doing upgrade cube recipes. Upgrade all of your gems to the highest level if you want to cut back on gems. You will get to a point where you won't bother picking up gems anymore because you have 50+ all the top upgraded gem.

If you still need space, start making mule characters. Just create a level 1 character and shift items into their inventory.

If you are only botting with one character &/or not using any other characters or slots then mule all items of one type in the backpack of an unused character (*like all weapons or all strength gear etc). That way you know where to look for them without having to search too hard. On my accounts I'm actually botting & playing with all of the characters randomly so I keep all my set gear characters on one account & all my LoN characters on the other--then I only keep the appropriate gear for each account stashed. I keep a permanent list of the classes & builds I'm running & then just delete anything that I will probably never have any use for. I don't know if that helps but it's how I'm keeping my stash from overflowing.

I changed my ItemList on all my bots to trash the puzzle ring and bovine bardiche. I never really used them anyways. My accounts are overflowing with gold, once I got my boon of hoarder, I trash them.

OP:
What class(s) are you using and how strict are your item settings?

Instead of save all ancients, you should figure out which items you need for all of your classes, then set basics for them in ItemList. Something like:

All Set Chests:
Must have properties
-none-
And at least 3 of 4
Ancient
Primary Stat
Vitality
Sockets (3)
Reduced Elite Damage
Armor

This way if will save an Ancient chest even if the type of stats are off by one, but then only keep non-ancients with useful stats.

Of you could move the Ancient property to the MUST HAVE list.

This will take some time of course, but it's going to save you all of the time that you're currently wasting going through crap gear.

The "Save all Ancient Items" basically saves anything that's an ancient item, and you will start seeing random stuff for other classes popup that you might never use.

Here is what I would do in your shoes (been there before)

  • Go through the guides here for any classes that you ARE going to use this class. Look on D3 Fans, IcyVeins, etc. Once you know which builds you're going to use, open up Trinity and the Item > ItemList tab.
  • Make sure all of those items are at least enabled.
  • Disable anything that isn't on the list that you want to have.
    • I will literally go through every item in the list the first time I do this for each Season or Patch.
    • If you have crappy jewelry, then you might want to enable all rings and amulets, but make sure you set required stats like CHC, CHD, Sockets (1), ANY elemental damage, Primary stat. You might be willing to use a 1000 primary, 10 chc, 100 chd, socketed Kymbo's gold if your current ammy is missing some of those stats. If not, turn the bad ones off.
  • Now go to each one of your characters in game, and go through your stash, put make sure you're using the best items you have available in your stash.
  • Use the Mystic to add the stats you need on gear
  • Go back into your ItemList and set the gear you're wearing to a level that is as good or better than what you have equipped.

Example 1: Once I get an Ancient version of anything that's wearable, I put "Ancient" into the MUST HAVE properties. This does not include jewelry. This way I will never see a non-Ancient one in my stash after I have an Ancient one.

Example 2: If the Traveler's Pledge I am wearing has 8 CC, 80 CHD, socket and 600 primary stat, non-Ancient. I would also prefer to have elemental damage over the primary stat, so I set the Traveler's Pledge in ItemList to:

  • Must have:
    • None
  • And also 3 or 5:
    • 8 CC, 80 CHC, Primary Stat, Sockets (1), Elemental Damage (15)
    • In this case, at worst I might end up with a CC, CHD, primary, socket that is somewhat better.
    • If I was to add Ancient to the MUST HAVE list, I might miss out on a 10 CC, 100 CHD, 650 primary with socket that would be an improvement.
    • If I was to add Ancient to the AND ALSO list, then I might end it with an Ancient one that has 2 of the stats I listed and then 2 crap stats that I don't want.

Clearly if you're playing a LoN Bombardment Crusader then your meta changes a little bit, but this should give you an idea.

Here is a guide for more information:

Also, there are ItemLists posted around the forums that you can basically paste in, but I have always found it best to do my own based on the classes I use and my current gear level.

Basically what above said, change your system to filter through. it takes about 5 minutes to go through item list clicking on items to auto trash or keep the ones you want as ancient only. Maybe 10-15 mins first time around to go thru and click everything with parameters, again its usually only a few key items that you want amazing bis stats on so its not hard either. Then youll end up with something better and better as you go on. My item list basically after the tripwire event I ran through 80keystones and my thing said something like 677 salvaged, 22 stashed(half of the stashed were gifts), 1 of them was a near bis swiftmount, and another 2 or so minor upgrade items.
