Starting up minor business.

Hey guys.

I'm on the edge of starting up. I've been close to doing it a crapload of time, but have always been afraid of failing it, since I'm not sure wether I should split op the bots or not.

I got GB lifetime, and as per-se, I dont really play WoW no-more, but still got 5 accounts (not activated) back from the sellout Blizzard had.

Now I think of just going all in, and starting botting for gold 8-14 hours each day.

This would be with 3 new toons - atm I'm thinking of either RAFing them all, and grinding in groups til 60, or switching them out on 3 servers - though I dont see that as a favorable option since 1 bot really cannot make THAT much gold.

Now to the selling part. I have NO private buyers, nor friends willing to buy gold in WoW - where should I grab a contact? Ive looked at Offgamers, but their demand is extremely low, and their prices is even lower! - Any other good alternative?

IF I decide to go with 3 toons RAFing, should I go Prot/Ret/Holy pala or make another combo? Seeing the toons will eventually have to solo farm with GB, I really could need some advice on that.

Option 3 sell the accounts on craigslist, use the money to buy clones, and start a grow operation.
 
Save yourself the hassle and get a job a MacDonalds. You'll make more money.
 
I think it is easily possible to bring the extra buck per month but really, these days it is nothing to live of. Unless you are still living with parents or student accommodation. Although i think that if you have nothing to lose, then the extra buck is nothing worth holding back on!

Your dreams will get crushed so fast when you realize how high your ban rate spikes up when you sell gold.

So far, every one of my accounts that has sold gold has been banned within three months. Two of which were banned within a week after selling. If you use a vanilla account, it'll get banned almost instantaneously after selling. They might even choose to track the accounts that transferred the gold/materials to the vanilla account.

You don't even know where to start. So you know, OffGamers offers the best prices. If you think what they offer is low, then you need to snap out of your fantasies because other buyers offer half as much if you're lucky. Now is actually probably the worse time to start. Blizzard has stepped up their game so much. They partnered with PayPal and they have DEFINITELY increased their detection on gold trading.

Like FPSware said, get an actual job. Its much better. No hassle over getting banned and the income is consistent.

Ahhh where o' where to begin.
I just can't do it... However, do a lot of research figure out you best option and go for it, because you will never know if you don't try. Regardless of what anyone says, its your plan not theirs.

Well, I might want to rephrase it.

I do not want to make a 1.000.000$ /month business.
The plan is for my 3 bots (at first) to be able to run AT LEAST free of charge from gold selling, and if possible a 10-50$ + each month would be nice.

Nothing insane, as I realise that would require a lot more, which was never my intention.
 
And I'm a student, and I am paid about 1000$ /month for studying, it was just cause I am interested in WoW and would liketo advance a bit.

Have a dig around the forum and you will find loads of threads people have started about "starting with a couple of bots and working my way up to becoming a millionaire"... check the date the threads were started and you'll see all of these people have come to the realisation that it's not going to work.

edit: You get paid $1000/month to study? Wow... I'm paying nearly that to study :mad:

Yeah, but A's i wrote shouldnt it be possible to run a balance at about 0-50$ each month with 3 bots?

Gotta love being a Dane hehe :p
 
Fair play to you for thinking of trying, but wouldnt you need say 20 plus bots running to make this venture worthwhile, 4 or 5 bots for personal gain is good but to actually make decent money i imagine you would need alot more.
 
60+ Bot's dedicated to private methods, knowing how to launder your gold without following slapstick guides (though they do help, but everyone does it nowadays and blizzard knows how to catch you), best gold buyers and a vast amount of experience in the scene will make you very well off.
For a novice running 3 bots, not so, I would get a job if you're looking for a consistent income.

95% of people who posted in this thread only read the title, nothing else. I'm speechless.

Back to your questions: if you think that Offgamers price is low - hate to break it to you, but the chinease buyers will only offer you 50% of what Offgamer is offering.
And regarding RaFing - make it Prot/holy/ret and the start and when it comes to farming, just buy BoE gear and switch every bot to Prot, unless you're using GB2.

Also, having 3 bots on 1 server is less profitable then having 3 bots on 3 different servers, you might want to level them up and then transfer them out.
 
You should read whatever the hell we wrote. We already answered it. In fact, questions like this one have been answered multiple times in this forum.

A) Gold farming is not a good source of income. It is inconsistent, low-paying, time-consuming, and may even result in a loss of money.
B) Gold farming, if done correctly, CAN yield you $10 to $50 profit per month as you ask. This is assuming you do not get banned (which you will).

You are 100% incorrect. I have 1 bot - 3Accounts farming as close to 24hours a day as I can. Selling herbs and ores, making around 400k a week selling to a site which I wont name for about 550$ per week. If i double my productions thats about lets say 1000-1100 thats about 52-60grand a year
PLENTY TO LIVE OFF OF.
 
Well, we know one thing for sure...Blizz is going after gold sellers. So your goal is to come up with a system where they cannot detect you transferring gold to buyers. All the old methods do not appear to work anymore.
