Well, if you had to start a character today, what's the best class to use with hb2? Questing will be out soonish so that might have something to do with it.

Really, I want something I can turn on and not come back to for at least all night, and run it 24/7.

I've always wanted a rogue, but are they really gear dependent? is it quicker to use mixed bg's or just straight levelbot?

I've never ever (ever) created a warrior, mage, priest, druid or shaman. I have no ideal about those classes.
 
I suppose paladin... :)
But, till level 50 use Levelbot.
I'm botting a rogue now, It's pretty fast :)
 
Paladin or Deathknight if you want non-stop botting
 
I found my warlock was able to be left for days, and hardly had downtime in afflic spec.
 
I've had good luck with Paladin, hunter and DK.. i can run any of the 3 all night without a hickup (well not counting system glitches on my end)... so its a preference thing.... I'm sticking with HB1 though for my long run stuff since there is a lack of CC's for HB2 right now with RaF
 
i have botted most classes, recently a hunter and i must say they are the fastest. ammo is a pain to keep stocked but other than that its cool. 44 in less than 3 days play time.
 
Paladin, DK, Hunter, and Warlock have the least downtime in my experience.

Also once you get VE/VT and shadowform, priests are surprisingly quick.
 
Ive done ever class, 6 with HB now from 1-80. By far, the Mage and lock are tops. Ive went 10 levels without training. Sweet leveling
