Status
Not open for further replies.
Thank you guys for adding auto learn FP's, i hated watching the bot run past FP's :D

Same thing here as well with the connection problems. Ran fine all last night and started getting the error about 7am est. Any news on when it will be fixed? Thanks gang!

"FP Learning logic added" ? No freaking way. Wooot

Authenticating..
The HTTP connection failed! Are you sure you are connected to the internet?

This isn't funny anymore. Please fix it.

I has gotten dc from game, HB was still loaded. I went ahead and tried to log in again, and after selecting my guy, I got this error

Everytime I clicked ok, it would just reopen the error screen.

People need to read the announcement's, The webby was suffering from a DDos attack last night which mean's the auth server went down so everyone was unable to login to GB/HB, there is no ETA on a fix, just read the announcement's and when it's fixed it will be posted there straight away. Also stop flooding this thread with Connection failing's since it's nothing to do with HB's new release it's for bug's etc...

EDIT. Sorry seem's the Dev's/Mod's have not released the HTTP problem's under announcement's but under a new thread which seem's to have been swallowed up by new thread's lol

Thank you dev team!! you are amazing! More cookies and heals for you.

I read the announcement and realise what the problem is.. but that was 12 hours ago.
Any decent hosted service should be up and running by now on a different ip with better protection.
Or at least a temp fix should be given... HB owners pay for hosting of their server just like we pay for 365days usage of their product.

Alright then, gonna test to see if the "do nothing" bug is gone. :)

edit: nope, still exists... :( 23 kills in, has a gnoll targeted about 10 yards away, but just stands there doing nothing.

a really dirty bandaid fix would be to make it spam hand of reckoning spell every few seconds since you dont need to be facing the mob and it would get the bot in combat so it starts moving again, but i have no clue how to make a plugin.

Quoted for truth.

HB auth servers are hosted on a redundant dedicated connection. Even given that, there isn't much you can do against a 3TB/sec synflood that lasts hours.

There are three options:
1. IP block entire address ranges of botnets. Can't do this because then you block customers.
2. Put up firewalls that will autoban addresses who try to connect too many times. Can't do this because then you inevitably block customers.
3. Try to mitigate the damage while unfortunately dealing with the 2-3 hour outages once a week. This is the best current option.

(in before wired420 posts something I dont understand that would help :))

Is this the built in CC or Mordd's?

I understand the problem, but for once I'm the customer and not the techie responsible to fix it.
We're all just wondering when the service will be 100% again and what will be done to prevent this in the future.
(also will we get an extra day added to our current subscription?) While I'm trying hard not to be disappointed with my
bot choice, I do feel that if you offered some sort of money back guarantee, 25% of your users would bail right now
and I would probably be one of them.

Whenever i start this up on my shaman, all that happens after hitting start is:

Honorbuddy 1.9.5.3 started!
Character is a level 1 Shaman
Current zone is: Mulgore
Loading C:\Users\Sam\Downloads\hb2_BETA\Profile\Mulgore_Quest.xml.
Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: source
Using it with my own mulgore profile which worked before, and shamwow

after that it stops.

There are very few (if any) hosting services that can mitigate a 3TB/s+ attack. Even highly specialized ISPs have trouble mitigating something that high.

There is a 'wall' in terms of web hosting, where you just simply can't absorb the traffic. Some datacenters do a really good job of absorbing it, while other's don't.

Attempted to use the bug tracker, but it doesn't accept my username (registered previously) - and when I reset the password, the link it sends me doesn't reset the password at all. Sorry, I just don't have time to fuck around with some bug tracker...

Level 5 -> 6 Shaman, using Mordd's 1-20 Shammy profile.
