I hear SSD disk will decrease load times increasing my GPH. I have one but it's not installed. If I plug it in, how would I go about benefiting from it? Would I need to install my OS on it? Or just my D3/DB?

Depends on differences in speed between your HDD and SSD what you wanna to buy.
First - move D3 on SSD, then OS. But not expect huge bonus to your GHP.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm not entirely sure of the size of it but I'm going to pick up another cable and plug it in and give it a go.

Speed > size !
Or even buy 2x60Gb SSD and set them into mirror raid for double your speed.

I have 2 copies one on my ssd and one hdd and cant really see much difference when i run them side-by-side, I would imagine like wow its more on the cpu than anything.

i have a ocz agility 3, 250gb and i paid less then $200, so SSD's are quite affordable right now, just make sure that before you install it, you upgrade the firmware on the drive to the latest version.

i had my os installed on it to start, but quickly filled it up, after my os was installed, and diablo 3, WoW, SWTOR, and TF2 where copied over, and i almost had no space left, so since i had some hardware issues i reinstalled and used my normal HDD as my windows drive and everything that requires speed i put on the SSD so all the games, and whatever programs i need, like i have Visual Studio installed on the SSD and this solution has worked out well for me.

on the flipside you could build a machine with 64gb of ram, and use 32gb as a ram drive, and copy D3 to it, then you dont need the SSD, lol

Got my agility 3 today , waiting for server shut down to install it :)
I heard they come with the latest firmware now, dont need to flash it .

i guess mine might of been a bit older, it had version 1. something on it, and it was up to 2.22 or something when i updated, but keep in mind that if you install windows on it, you cant update it. the firmware updater keeps you from updating the drive if its your main storage drive.

Depend what HDD you have.

Recent HDD load the game quick like ssd. not really big diff. game loading its more about CPU.

If your HDD is old, yes go SSD

After installing my intel 320 SSD, each time I click "resume game", it will load 3sec faster. It's not THAT much of a difference.

when each game takes less than a minute, that's a 5% boost, over say 1000 games you get 50 extra games in

@OP - the SSD is not a 'disk' - a disk is a platter (metal round disk). A ssd is a ram drive (solid state) drive.

I have a 480gb ssd and it's worth every penny!

Stripe raid you mean. Mirror will not increase speed - just provide redundancy.
