Do having more bot bases, routines, and plugins cause HB to take longer initialize and when those plugins are enabled will they cause slower pulsing? I recently did a fresh install and only took the absolute necessary that I use in any bot base.

I'm half-tempted to see if a fresh installation with all removed, but Raid Bot and a single Routine would provide better a combat experience. I keep most plugins disabled during raiding and instances anyway. Would like an expert opinion on this though.

The only ones always on are the essential Anti Drown, DrinkPotions, NoBind, Refreshment Detection, and usually Timeless Buffs is just left on for the hell of it since Raid Bot and Tyrael are supposed not pulse plugins besides AutoEquip2 since it's built in. I don't think any of these plugins really would cause much of a slowdown anyway.

Well, if you have a lot knowledge behind what slows it down initializing and during use then please post your insight. P.S. Is Questhelper - ItemForAura even necessary to be enabled anymore? Same goes for ProfileHelper from Kick's SVN (seems to run questing fine without this plugin).

I have a separate folder for questing/leveling with all botbases/plugins/etc and one for rotations (tyrael and CR's ONLY).

The one just for rotations always loads faster and I don't know about performance because my PC is far too good to tell (4 ssds in raid0, quad 780s, 3930k).

Hi, Florida,

Aye, every plugin you turn on will slow the the Pulsing frequency (and consequently, Honorbuddy). If a plugin is poorly written (i.e., it uses Sleep), then there is going to be additional pain involved.

All of the shipped plugins are very efficient, except for "Questhelper - ItemForAura". We've already got a bug report to have it replaced.

I'd leave "Questhelper - ItemForAura" turned off, whenever possible. It is only needed when running Kick's profiles. I'm not certain if Cava's or TheBrodieman's needs it. "Questhelper - ItemForAura" is used while questing to keep NPC companions deployed, or a critical buff engaged for particular quests.

cheers,

Thank you all for the answers! Didn't know Questhelper only dealt with Kick's and possibly the other two, good insight.
