if blizzard wish to stop my client communicating with thier servers, then they can ban me, they reserve that right.
if i want to edit my diablo installation then that is my right, and they reserve the right to ban me for it.
my computer, my memory, they can ban me if they like, go for it.
if you can prove i'm using it, you can ban me. otherwise what power can they have? what stops the DB team offering the same injunction as they offered you?

the sad fact is that blizzard cannot employ the expertise to understand how to get around it, even when they have unlimited access to the software. the fact that they need to take the lagel route is embarressing for the entire company and a huge compliment to the buddy team.
