~~ Some Info I Got From Blizzard ~~

Most of you will enjoy making fun of how dumb I was, others will enjoy some bad ass information.

So in light of the few people getting banned last night or whatever, this morning I decided to transfer ALL of my main botting account (1 Barb Fully Geared w/ Stash) to my mule. I dropped everything on the ground and invited my mule. When my mule came in, I left with my main account to reduce loading on my comp. Immediately after that, the game terminated for my mule and I lost all of the items.

I sent a ticket in and said I got hacked >.<

Here's what I got back..

Hello!

Thank you for contacting Blizzard Entertainment regarding your account. We looked at your connection history, and fortunately, there doesn't appear to be any suspicious activity. I can see a lot of activity on your account, but it's all coming from your home network - though we can't tell if it's the same computer, it's at least the same internet connection. So, what happened? There are only two possibilities: one is that you somehow don't remember selling all your items, and the other is that an angry girlfriend/boyfriend, roommate, sibling or friend did this to you. I'm very sorry :-( We can sometimes restore Diablo 3 accounts after a compromise, but in order to use that system, we need evidence of connections from outside the home, and there's absolutely none in this case, in the timeframe you're referring to. Sorry to give you the bad news!


What am I trying to get at? This is my botting account. Blizzard looked into my connection, my IP, etc and subsequently told me that they didn't notice DB for the majority of the Barbs life...

I closed that ticket and logged onto my neighbors wireless, did some weird shit on my Barb like changing email addresses and payment information. My new ticket is looking promising. They already said I'd get a rollback and all they needed was my go ahead. I'm awaiting the results and will re-post if everything went well!

Not really, blizzard likes to get helpful like this at times, this looks totally legit to me... why would he make this up ?

ive had plenty of CS responses that seemed similar to this, they do act like humans once in awhile.
 
It could be, there "Game Masters" whom answer those email occassionaly add a humerous overtone to there messages.. Have had some funny conversations with Blizzard Phone support... I think they have cushy offices for a sometimes stressfull job... Kind of like GoDaddy Support.. They sit around in an office all day throwing a Nerf football around in between calls and some even have been bag chairs.... -_- in the wrong line of work..

Anywho if its not a troll what I got out of the conversation... O_o V P N's & VM's are useless.... They cant see or don't log individual connecting computer information.. Just your WAN IP address... Which could be anything from a shared Hotel, Airport, Coffee Shop, Lan Center, etc... So IP, single PC, same network theories go out the window if true...

Wait O_o those of us who have been running multiple bots on a single PC without a single V P N or VM and have evaded banwaves already came to this conclusion now you all can join us O_O mwahahaha lol....

Haha this is like inviting the cops to look through your methlab for missing chemistry equipment and not getting caught. Good luck with the rollback :D
 
You could just dress the methlab up to look like an alcohol distillery... O_o Which is essentially what he did.. lol

I got banned in the first big ban wave and tried to put a ticket in (like everyone else) trying to play dumb yada yada and they gave me a response similar to this. I have seen blizzard send messages like this before. Its nice to see them treat us like humans sometimes lol.

Anyways, great info. I've been thinking about getting a new account and starting over now that I'm done with vacation and will be home again. I think i might give it another shot.
 
Reporting a fake compromise is a bad idea, mark my words.

Your bot is 100% going to get banned. There is a small chance that your mule will get banned along with it.

Since you already confirmed your ticket, it is too late to cancel it. Good luck and I hope these aren't your only accounts.

how did he respond from a new ip, hey this is my IP now can u check again? and they went for it, quite possible but easy to see why some people could doubt it also.

It's a different internet service therefore a different IP address.
 
A bit foolish and risky but even if you do get banned it's great information that you got which will help you and everyone else thanks Mate
