Some guy just sent me a threatening game mail

So some dumbass in my server just sent me a threatening mail, basically saying that I was botting in Valley of Four Winds and that if I don't give him 10k he is going to report me to Blizzard and that he has screenshots of me botting.

First of all, he has screenshots of my character mining/herbing, hardly botting, at a perfect reasonable time of the day as well.

I sent him a reply saying that if he harasses me or tries to black mail me again then I will personally report him to Blizzard and I sent him 1 Copper and to never talk to me again.

Am I right that this guy is a tool and there's nothing he can do ?
 
What are screenshots of botting?

Unless he has video & lots of it, Blizz will ignore him. I would contact a GM & share the in-game mail to get him banned. Your account should be fine, whether he has screen shots or not.
 
A single still screen shot won't actually prove anything. So I wouldn't worry. All he can do is right click your name and report for cheating. GM's don't want tickets RE that topic so there isn't anything he can do any way.
 
"or tries to black mail me" = you just admitted you were botting, derp.

screenshots/video is not accepted as evidence by blizzard, full stop.
 
f@@k him i would would send the emails to blizz and have his greedy blackmailing ass banned.

people like him ruin the game for everone imagin what other things this guy pulls on other people not just you.
 
just put him on ignore and tell him that he'll be banned for attempted blackmail if he tries to report u
 
dont mention the word blackmail, just send him some Cheese and put on Ignore.

Okay guys here's a picture of the e-mail he sent me.

He is trying to blackmail me thou and I just sent him an email and told him not to contact me again and that I would report him for trying to black me and harassing me.
 
There's nothing wrong with you accusing him of blackmail, calling it what it is doesn't imply guilt. He could easily send that letter to tons of people who are innocent and it would still be the same thing, blackmail.
 
Wow I haven't had such a laugh in ages. Smart people don't tell us botters they're reporting us. They just do it so we don't have warning. Some people, I wonder how many he sends of those mails out.

Yeah... I have 2 accounts, I just won't bot on my main account for 2 or 3 days now till I know he will already have reported me and a GM checked it out.

I'm thinkin this. Not sure why you blurred his name out, though, since he is being an ass. Even though we can see it's Beaconofbeer from the mailbox... ;)

Report him for harassment, show them the email and play the innocent card saying all you were doing mining and you don't want to be banned for him lying. Then again, this is dangerous if they ever decide to look at your total playtime over the past few months...
 
just forget about it, leave it be..
if blizzard then bans you, then you can start to play cards..
till then, sit back and wait xD

He is still searchable, but his details are gone so I'm betting that he deleted that character so I wouldn't worry about it.

i dont get it how you guys get this by mailboxes blackmail i never got this but ye ignore the asshat and if he whispers u get badboy addon and put it on lvl 90 then he cant whisper u the most people that do those kind of things are botters them self just report him send blizzard a mail with a pic of the blackmail then he gets banned
 
dont talk to a GM, when it's a harassment vs botter... they always investigate the botter, I've seen it and people have lost their accounts over it.
 
I dont plan on botting on my main account now for a couple of days at least because of this guy. Just don't want to risk it, will it be safe to say it will have been blown over by then? I already have another account and I'm working on levelling another 2 druids so I never have to bot on my main again but till then I was hoping I could still use it for at least 6 hours a day while I'm at work.

People can be so annoying >_<
