Some advice from this amazing community. 9 accounts banned in 1 week?

Update: My bot has been banned. Account-linkage theory is also falsified.

I have been botting with a trial-account to see when it would be banned - I actually forgot about it, but I logged in and it's not banned yet? Do Blizzard not ban trial-accounts? If yes, the idea that battle chests within 72 hours of botting might be a thing. I'll continue on botting on this trial account to see how it will go.

sad to hear that, but didn't you log into you main account using the same IP or same computer?

I don't know if it 'went through' but I made an accident on my laptop on the same network. I don't know, can't be sure. I am saddened it happened.

No. And that'll be my next move. Is it something you always do? Not bot for the first 72 hours

No. I've never had the problem you're having. I usually bot for no more than an hour for a few hours a day for the first 72 hours. Then I go for longer and longer.

anyone noticed any indication that HB just gets detected on your PC?

or you just get banned for stupid stuff like long botting/BGs/Leveling - when it's quite obvious

HB cant be just detected on 1 PC, but not on the other ~10k. Makes no sense!

You tried the option with using different public IP address for your botting rig, for the test? Or still stick to your former one, which was flagged enough?

Your theory has been falsified. My bot just got banned, wasn't linked to anything. Bait accounts are not thing probably. Back to square one.
Actually, his theories have solid ground from the past blizzard activities, and makes sense! This does not means, its the same method you are getting flagged, of course.

But you definitely cannot get rid of the link between your new accounts and old records, so far.

Btw, the trial accounts are not measurement for ban, I have heard for such getting banned on blacklisted subnets, IP addresses or so, but its extremely rare, and most likely not related to botting but different kind of severe offences (in Blizzard's eyes)

Got the ole 6 month today. Starting to wonder of the only thing they've changed is how many players it takes to report you to trigger an investigation. It used to be multiple people would have to report you, wonder if only one does now. It's the only thing I can think of other than HWId tracking (which, again, wouldn't really make sense from a management perspective).

I have a fresh server with fresh HWId if you guys want me to run another controlled test. At this point, though, I'm not even sure what would be helpful.

Let me know what you guys would like me to test next. :)

I think my manual report theory on creation date and play time is incorrectly this point. I'm switching gears to taking less player reports to trigger an investigation. I could test this out by farm botting on a low pop server and reporting myself and seeing how long it takes to get a ban.

Thoughts?

Proposal: Why don't you get a few bchests (3-5) and go all out 24/7 on the new Server? For verification purposes, it would be great if you could use a new IP on there.

I think the creation-play time is clearly wrong, but this could be an easy way to prove it. If you can handle the cost, specially the VPN or additional ISP cost since bchests ain't that costly.

Intent is trying to separate from whatever linkage sources could have been affecting you. Specially your old accounts and old IP.
