Hi, today i bought a lifetime session key for Honorbuddy, and I got the key in the mail, and created an account on the Auth page, where it says my key is inactive/unused, but when I open Honorbuddy and copy paste the key, and press the button it says authentication failed, invalid key.
I have reinstalled honorbuddy already.

Hi, Machtigleider, and thanks for the log!

When you copy-n-paste the key, Windows sometimes like to include goodies like a leading, or trailing space. Please make certain the copy only contains the digits of the key.

If this is not the issue, please PM the key to Tony and a link to this thread, and let him check it.

Hey, I already contacted customer support, and they said the key should be working, and I've tried to type in the key multiple times aswell, but it still says the same thing

Let's try to obtain your key from the Auth portal, rather than the email. This article should help you get your Auth portal account set up, and access to your key:

If no joy, please pursue the PM with Tony.

My gosh man!

You just published your key to a public forum, and it is compromised now. We've deleted the attachment, but have no way to tell how many saw it.

At this point, you will need to contact the Bossland GmbH 'front office' at [email protected], and have them issue a new key. Your old one has been compromised.

Of course, kudos may also be in order... as this may have repaired your problem. <wink>

My god, I am really dumb... I did not think of that at all... I was just trying to make things easier for you.. but maybe this'll fix it. thanks^^
 
Hey, ehm.. So I got a new key... but it still gives me the same error, saying authentication failed Invalid key.
What else could i do?
 
Hi, Machtigleider,

At this point, you need to install Skype and TeamViewer.
After installing those, PM Tony with your SkypeID, and arrange for him to have a look.

While you're waiting for him, you might look at this article, and see if you're missing something obvious:

I do need to say one thing, Before I bought the key, i used a *****ed key, and auth, And it DID work with that key, so shouldnt it be something with a faulty key?

Those things can really screw up your system—particularly your network configuration. You might as well try this while waiting for Tony... follow the procedures in the "To Remedy a non-specific Authentication Failed:" of this article:

Follow the whole procedure, especially when it talks about things like 'loopback devices' and reclaiming poisoned DNS caches.
