Hi,
Can some1 help me to find out how and why I have lost like 50-60GB from my SSD in last 2-3 months??
I noticed that for some reason when I botted HB/wow started to lose my memory about a 1gb / day or so and i have NO IDEA where that used memory is(prolly in some hidden folder?). Im using Win10 and i have 120GB ssd. Only programs i have in this computer is HB, WOW, opera and some music players. First i thougth wow/HB is stashing some data in logs files but those logs where only like 10-150MB. Then decided to uninstall wow and noticed that windows thougth that my wow was 57.1GB even tho that wow folder was only 28gb. Well, that didnt help now is have 28gb free space from 111gb and i have used only like 20gb with W10 and few programs. Do u know any programs that could be used locate my missing data so i can delete it and hopefully why its doing it???

I did try CCleaner and all my folders in my C: drive are Totally 21,6GB.
some SSDS come with software that utilizes a set amount of disk space to assist it in garbage handling and optimizing transfer of data into the drive

How to show hidden files and folders in Windows 10:

1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
2. Click the View tab.
3. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.

Unhide everything, go to your profile and right click on every folder there and look at the properties and see how large every folder is.

If you have programs like Cheat Engine and such installed on the SSD, even if you don't, it might cache its data on the SSD. Memory search data, pointer scans and such can take a huge amount of space and aren't always cleared when you're done. Check cache settings for various programs you often use, to see where the cache is stored.

One likely culprit is the indexing service. Right click the Start button, choose Control Panel, then Indexing Options. You'll get a list of folders indexed for faster searches. Remove the WoW or HB folders and any game folders from the list, then click Advanced, then Rebuild. This shaved off several tens of gigabytes for me.

Also note most of the time the files taking up so much space are system files, programs only list these if you launch them with administrative privileges.

Google for TreeSize Free. Install that, scan your drive and it will show you a graphical representation of your storage. Super easy to find out what folders are using up your space with that tool.

Honorbuddy stores Mesh files in your LocalAppData.
It could eat up some memory depending on how much you bot - although it shouldn't take that much.

1-100 questing takes up about 550-650megabytes for the Mesh folders.

They're located in: %localappdata%\Bossland\Honorbuddy\Meshes

On Honorbuddy's "Settings & Tools" you can change the location where they're saved.

Its DEFFFF ur logs folder in HB, I checked mine and had close to 25 GB worth of Logs, that stuff will eat up your hard drive space like crazy!

If you have Windows 10 you're not supposed to use CCleaner. It fucks your computer up.
This is not true. Please post technically accurate information rather than FUD. CCleaner works fine on any version of Windows that it is available for provided you don't use the registry related functions and that you don't change the defaults in a way that allows the deletion of needed files.

Thx m8, this was my problem. I used Treesize program and i found out that it was Windows.edb index file that was 60gb and toke half of my ssd. After rebuilding from index options i got my memory back. Thx alot!!

How is this not true? There have been many cases where people have fucked their windows systems up by using CCleaner. You even stated yourself that it's possible. FOH

I've been using CCleaner since Windows 10 was insider release, never had an issue with that. It's a simple program with checkboxes, use your brain for what you delete.
Also, try open an elevated CMD and type "powercfg -h off", this disables hybrid sleep etc, which by default can put 5-15GB of "fake" storage.

You clearly don't have much tech understanding. It isn't CCleaner that is the problem. It is the user. When used wrong it can be harmful. Don't use it wrong.
