Solid wizard build?

I had FB set, and now I switched to Opus at the request of a friend who I play manually with sometimes. But she is just so weak in higher end grifts with Opus. Can anyone give me some feedback about skills/gear to solo higher end (35+) grifts with? Running 27-29 is getting kinda *yawn* and I don't really have any good FB pieces left, and kinda forgot the skill set I had set up

i use full firebird (cindercoat armor) + bastion ring set up to 35 grift @ 2-4 min/run

magic missile / fire
blizzard / fire
black hole / fire

energy armor / 35% life rune
familiar / 4,5 arkan reg
magic weapon / 20% dmg


@ 35+ i tryed tal rashas but died to much and the leg, xp / hour is not that good

Thanks, I'll give that a try once the servers come back up (they're just now shutting down in the Americas), and if I manage to get all FB+Cindercoat. I am curious as to why you chose Familiar though. I was running similar to your skills, but I used Mirror Images instead. Is familiar that much better for higher end grifts?

I have similar build and im doing full rift takes really long time, does your profile get more exp and more leg/set items?

I'm going Tal Rasha with restraint set. Working out quite well, doing GR 41 solo in about 7-8 mins, that's with dying 3-4 times.

Eletricute - Surge
Blizz - Frozen
Teleport - Calamity
Hydra - Mammoth
Energy Armor - Prismatic
Magic Weapon - Force Weapon

Passive: Illusionist, Arcane Dyn, Elemental Exposure, Unstable

Tal Rasha is the 2nd set I'm considering using. Just finished my FB set tonight, using Serpent Sparker and Triumvirate as off hand (So I'm using RoRG to finish my 6 set). I went full fire hydra and so far she seems to be clearing 33-35 again with ease. I think I'd do better if I had a better (or ancient) SS. I might try your build as well, Daemonics, if I can get good rolls on the Tal's. I'd like to give up the RoRG but I reallllllly like my source.
Nice choice of passives, too, that's what I use except I swap out Illusionist for...well shoot I can't look because she's in a G-rift but I had that one at one time.
By finishing my 6 set Firebird's and swapping the source to Triumvirate, I effectively doubled my sheet dps tonight, and still holding strong at 31m toughness.

Im using tals set with unity and halo and meele build and doing Grift 43 on time on every try (did few.. like 20 keys).. didnt try 44 yet cause Im doing t6 rifts now looking for the ancient SS hehe
