OMG, take one account and spell out what was farmed in one day and what it sold for. Theres only so much time in a day and lichbloom or ore dosent sell for 100 gold a stack. My Blacksmiths and tailors make twink gear everyday but that dosent mean its all gonna sell qiuck. Thers good days and bad. But again id like to see this guy spell out what one account does a day,then everyone would see.One account running 24 hrs can get about 40 stacks of stuff. average titanium ore is goin for around 240, lichbloom for around 30. just using those 2 for examples. He would have to be getting 150g a stack for the stuff to get to the numbers hes talking about
 
2k gold or 2k real currency? LOL but you run what? 50+ accounts.. so ya ;)
 
well after the whole cata adjustment settles down after the first of the year.. i'll look at setting up my farm on a fresh set of accounts. extra grand or so a month isn't a bad thing :)
 
I didn't read drys post, but I just wanted to say I don't know what made me explode last night but I apologize. I was way out of line to flame him like that and again, I apologize. But, believe my farming story or not I don't care.

well after the whole cata adjustment settles down after the first of the year.. i'll look at setting up my farm on a fresh set of accounts. extra grand or so a month isn't a bad thing

Shane, sorry but every week in here someone posts that they made so much in a week or week and a half. If you look back at some of these posts you will see where other members have broken it down and proven that it just dosent work out. Everyones bot runs at the same speed,so the only varibles are the economy, that dosent change much between servers, and using other professsions to boost stuff you can sell. Thing is over the yrs most players now have so many alts doing so many profession tasks that even selling twink gear has become a very slow sell, I know i concentrate on it as it still will make decent money. But nothing like your claiming. Anyhow good luck and bot on
 
I made $1k today by strandeling EMC and VMware. Making a living off bots? I'm not sure how worth it it really is in comparison to real life jobs. :cool:

Yes and no, the server economy has a massive impact on what you make you're 100% right and the bots do go at the same speed. But knowing how to farm gold and doing it on multiple accounts (I used 5 and manually did one) can make all the difference. Custom profiles actually make a difference as well, the public profiles can still net 6-700g/hr being 100% afk per account. But custom profiles make so, so much more because we can use our secrets and make profiles of our own. Profiles that don't exist in the public. And I found that still running one account (A 6700 ret pally) manually while botting can be very very profitable very fast.

Kudos to making 1.3m on gatherbuddy though. how many accounts did you use? If one account I think I proved my point that it IS indeed possible to make 625k in a week and a half with 6 accounts. Anyway, happy botting and good luck.

It's very well possible, do note that in just about every case before, people just told the most bullshit stories. I mean there's obviously no way someone could be mining 300+ stacks of saronite ore in a single night for example. However you have to note 2 things:
1. Server economy, has the largest impact on what kind of money you can make. On some servers, people pay a lot for herbs and ores, on other servers people pay a lot for vanity pets, eternals, etc... So many people really do have troubles making money because they don't know the best thing to farm, and therefore lose a lot of potential problem.
2. Profiles and CCs, also makes a world of difference. Some CC's are just completely inefficient for the particular task you're trying to do. When farming Oozelings for example, I don't need my mage CC preparing some rotation when a single arcane blast overkills them just fine (that ended up putting an extra 4-6 seconds overhead per kill), whereas my custom CC (made for the purpose) makes killing the mobs extremely fast and efficient, and comparing both of them over an 8-9 hour period, I was getting around 15-20% more kills per hour.
 
you are lucky with prices on your realms, i am selling icethorn/lichbloom 8-9g/stack saronite ore 12/g stack all eternals very cheap as well

Same on my servers I just had to sell 2 stacks of eternal fire at 12 each (yes 12g). And im lucky if cobalt ore/bars are 20g/stack. No, I don't farm northrend crap anymore because its just getting to the point where its completely worthless.
 
I have one quick question:
Since selling the raw materials of what you have farmed is MOSTLY the most efficient way.. How do you do this for 5 accounts.. I mean I am too lazy to do that with 2 Accounts.. Do you guys have progs for this?
 
yeah, the programs called honor buddy lifetime and mmomimic silverbolt. Accounts get botted so you just sit there and let it farm for you.
 
Either you dont get me or youre making fun of me =) I dont mean the farming process! I mean the
-Stop farming with farm toon.
-Logout.
-Login to AH toon.
-Get stuff from mail and undercut auctions
-Put up new stuff
-Relog to farm toon and keep farming

How do you handle THIS? By hand?

craft the saronite ores into bars and vendor them, you get 25g a stack for vendoring them, which means 12.5g per stack of ores and no AH fees (assuming you aren't using trade chat).
 
dont sell saronite ore for 12g / stack
if you smelt to bars and vendor them you sell it for 12,5 g per stack since bars go for 25g / stack.
