So I just got banned the other day. I appealed and luckily got it turned into a 72 hour suspension. As my suspension is coming to an end I'm curious, what to do now? What have you guys with similar situations done when your suspension was up? Did you shut down boting for awhile? Jump right back in? What?

Usually when you get banned for 72h it now means that they are heavily watching you. I'd be careful, make sure you're always babysitting any botting that you do.

Good luck.

My answer to your question is... Golden Gate Bakery (I think that's what it's called) in Chinatown has delicious custard pies... Damn their lines, though.

Hahaha, I was just in there 2 days ago. I work 3 blocks away.

Lucky! I'm stationed in Monterey right now so I took the time to hit Chinatown a time or two. Not into big cities but the people there were pretty welcoming/friendly and the food was damn good and damn cheap =).

Stephan, I know there is no real way to know but how long do you THINK I'd be under the microscope for?

I don't think it's actually a GM constantly checking in on you. More or less, you're account is heightened for a short period of time (72 hours-1 week, guessing) to keep track of your trades between accounts to see if it's linked to bot farms.

That makes sense. Think it's ok to use a lvling profile if I'm overseeing it?

Thanks Cocaine, your posts I come across are usually always helpful. I'll let you know what happens. My suspension is up today. Rep added.

I got a 72 hour ban 2 weeks ago. Just started botting again on Monday. 4-5 hours per day using kicks leveling. I work from home so I set up my IPAD next to my work laptop and run WOW on my desktop downstairs. I use teamviewer on the ipad to monitor the bot. I'm also using the LogMeOut plugin. It beeps whenever i get stuck or anything so i'm always warned. I have a separate chat window for whispers if i get any. Every half hour or so i'll say something in general like "Any high level horde around? Got ganked real bad yesterday". Sometimes other players will emote or challenge me to a duel. I immediately stop the bot and respond. So far so good.

What where you doing when you got the suspension?

I was questing. I left the bot running overnight. It was 3 days after I started botting and didn't really know any better. When I woke up, my toon was just standing out in the open somewhere equipping a piece of gear over and over. Could have been happening for hours. In any case, it's obvious that it's *possible* to run the bot unattended, but I'm not doing it anymore. In fact, I just logged in before starting this post and the bot already got stuck at valiance keep. couldn't get on the boat to turn in quest. Every time I unstuck it, it would just go to the same spot and get stuck again so I manually turned it in.

BTW, I don't bot for gold or honor or gathering. I just hate the grind of leveling and I want a rogue and a Shaman. So bored of my priest/lock/druid. I guess I might start doing those things once I get my rogue/shaman xfered to my main account.

I hear that. I've manually leveled 6 toons and I'm sick of it. I bot on my main account when I can sit there and keep an eye on it and never gb2. Just questing. Id literally curl up in the fetal position and wimper like a puppy begging for left overs if i lost my main account. I mainly farm on my bot account cuz well... That's what it's for. I ran the questing bot tonight after my 72 hours was up. So far no problems. I was watching it the whole time while finally catching up on Game of Thrones. I'm just going to take it super slow for the next couple weeks and just level up a toon with my 2nd bot account via raf. Then I'll make my own profiles and just run them for a couple hours once or twice a day. I don't really care if I get a perma ban on either bot account. But would like to avoid it for as long as possible since I paid for the accounts.
