So what is going to happen to PVP CR's?

So I know I paid a lot for some nice PVP Combat Routines now they cant be used for half the reason they where used for. I wasted $100+? What about the devs that created them for pvp will they have to create their own bots now and move on without hb? I never used the CR's on Auto but they did come in handy for some classes I did not have best exp with.

I never bought any PVP combat routines, but I'm interested to know the outcome of this too.
 
im concerned.. Tuanha's I used for PVP.. i spent a lot of money on it as well as others.. for raiding, but they where also PVP.. with the potential loss of profit they may no longer maintain them :(
 
I just hope that the programmers of these don't get screwed on chargebacks
 
I am very curious myself, I am in a similar situation. Its not thati need honorbuddy to play or progress but its when i am lazy i like to turn on my combat routine.

Furthermore i have also purchased over a $100 worth of donar/premium routines including;

Tuahna full package of all classes
Richie's premium affliction routine
Gladiator suite warlock premium
Gladiator suite druid premium

While i haven't heard from the routine developers yet i am very curious as to their responce on bosslands decision.

I honestly do not mind that arena botting will not be supported by honorbuddy, it has brought unwanted attention to the program. There's a difference in my opinion between botting and cheating. While im a bit of a hypocrit i have progressed and achieved 2800 arena rating without the utilization of a bot.

My speculation is that 'some' of the combat routine devs are going to switch to an entirely new bot base.

Due to forum rules i will not advertise which one i believe they will migrate to.
Give me a private message if you're interested in my speculations on this.

Tuahna mentioned that if honorbuddy discontinued after the banwave he would recode his routines for F####### or a different bot.

I have a mixxed feeling that he won't because his routines still will funtion for other uses besides arena. Moreover, it is a lot of work.

Gladiator suite cokx and tozi will most likely change bots.

As for lil richie and the rest I am unaware and dont really have any speculations.

i would go with cokx anywhere becouse i want really use his profile in arena

Im not paying for another bot to follow some dev around. This decision is BS and without merit or thought.
 
The next (post-.787) drop of Honorbuddy will explicitly disallow Arena play. This includes Combat Routines. From the Release Notes, the appropriate report is HB-2458 ("Honorbuddy is no longer allowed to be used in Arenas").

The report/release note is for Arenas-only. A similar issue for Battlegrounds is being considered, but still under discussion.

The mandate to completely disable Arenas comes directly from Bossland, and non-negotiable. Honorbuddy actively enforces the disabling of all extensions in Arenas, including Combat Routines. Please do not badger Combat Routine (or other) developers about this.

This is on a sticky and there are no changes for it at all
 
Stop changing the topic. If you keep talking about arena bots this thread will be closed. Ensure you carefully read the final post of the main thread.

Rather, discuss speculations of combat routine developers and their responce to this.

HB supports PVP,so if you bought any custom PVP CR's you can still use them

I am quite happy to see PvP botters are crying and they spent lots of money that is now wasted. You are the reason for this ban wave. Your reckless use of CRs and auto interrupts in a competitive gameplay and ruining the game for the others caused Blizzard went crazy. What were you expecting really? I have botted since 2000 for stuff such as leveling, pet combats, PvE etc.. I have never used it for arena. I actually quit PvP in WoD as it was unplayable because of the bots. It always pissed me off even though I was a botter. I am glad you spent so much money on PvP botting and lost all of it. I am glad you are mad and you think that you can get your money back, because you will never get it back. Stop blaming Bossland. You knew you could get permabanned, you knew HB would be closed down one day and other possibilities. Keep crying though, it is fun to watch.

except they arent. like the announcement said "we dont know why". so quit the blaming.

Just not in Arena though right? Seeing as HB will actively deny use in Arena I figured private CR's for pvp wouldn't work.
 
Can an admin, just clear this for me? Will we be able to use just the CRs in BGs? I don't use bgbuddy, i just use CRs!

Yes. According to what has been said multiple times now - there are no issues using CR`s outside Arenas.

I support HB but I will support Cokx because I still intend to Arena.

What about the post that said you're still considering getting rid of BGBuddy? Then what PVP are we supposed to do? World PvP? Cause that's what we spent $100s if not $1000s for right?
