I've been botting since 2006, the days of glider for example. Never been banned, always have botted between 12-24 hours a day (depending on if I was home or away) I've used remote programs on my iphone to check in on the bot (since that's became a thing) and check it, change profiles /quest/grind/bg etc. I've sold over a grand worth of gold, Made millions... Farmed shit tons of ore, had threats of being banned... The moral of this is i've never been banned. I don't think it's worth blizzards time to "go back to your WoW history" to depict what you did and when. It's not just going to show up as "Blahblah traded 350k gold to blahblahblah." Thus making it, obselete. Most bans that people get now are auto bans. *Posting 200 stacks of ore on the AH at one given time.* Not logging off for a week straight, bging from level 15-85 in 2 weeks. Things like that red flag your account for an autoban. It's very rare that blizzard actually bans you. they only look into situations such as guild thievery, harassment, and such as those terms. I don't know about the "legal" consequences as I've honestly never read the ToA and EULA, but, I do know that I'm pretty sure they are not allowed to scan your hard drive. But I doubt the RAM sends anything about HB to the HDD to log, which would be encrypted anyway. (Not that Blizzard couldn't Decrypt it, but even then, it's not worth their time.) Once you power off you're computer, all data in your RAM is gone. Boot it back up and it's like nothing ever happened. RAM is volatile, thus needing power to function. And i'm very bored while botting BGs this morning obviously... <3
