its been a month, don't see how he'd want to come back now? glad to see other developers making "changes to trinity tho

wow great to hear that db paid him, why didn't they mention that before? I guess if they announced he was paid other developers would get upset that they weren't paid also. Anyways glad for the db team for the respect of paying the guy and glad for guile, and looking forward to seeing the new developer of trinity

All developers we feel make enormous contributions to our bot do get compensated.
Giles never responded to me when I tried to contact him, so I never had information to give to you guys.

It became a problem.

rrrix stepped up to the plate.

Doing something for money and not from your heart and the feeling of success downrates your work alot :/

Not sure what your talking about... I feel quite successful when I get a large check after a completed project... As far as putting my heart into a project.. Not sure you can program without that as it would become **ugh** shoot me now after a couple thousand lines...

the best "creators" (whether you develop or design) are never satisfied. There is ALWAYS room for improvement and it is our constant struggle to come up with the best solution to a given problem that motivates us. Money doesn't hurt either, but it's only the sole motivator for people doing work they don't enjoy.

If you love what you do (developing/designing/flipping crabby patties), that is why you do it. Or maybe you just have nothing better to do :P

Well we all differ in our opinion on cash importance (which I believe is largely dependent on one's financial position), but we all agree on one thing - You have to enjoy what you do or your work will be sub-par.
