So... DB just ran past a legendary plan and didn't even pick it up...

So it just ran by a set plan and didn't even pick it up. Then it was about to teleport out and start a new run... luckily I had the chance to pause and pick it up. Any suggestions? I don't see anything in trinity that ignores legendary/set plans
 
DB has trouble determining the ItemType on certain objects, so it sees them as "Unknown" and, consequently, will not always pick them up, unfortunately.
 
Trinity does INFACT have settings for Blacksmith and jewelers designs and can be set to ignore them.


Thy are separate to legendary gear.
 
I find it's best to pickup ALL plans now. If you have "learned" a blacksmith or jeweler plan, it will NEVER drop again. So - pick em' all and learn them.

Do you have "pickup legendary plans" checked and using the latest Trinity? I fixed this (and tested it!) recently.

All true But Blacksmith and jeweler plans will drop if you have already trained it, Ive had 10 of one plan before, but they stack so its really not a big deal.

That's in Pre 2.0. Since the patch i have not had a single duplicate plan drop.
 
I have had duplicate plans drop, on the last day before the AH closed I was able to sell a legendary bs plan for wrists (wonderous defenders) that I had already learned. I sold it for 13mil. but since the AH closed, i have gone from getting 8-10 plans per day, to maybe 1.
 
I've gotten 3 of the same plans during one night a few times after AH closed, it's all RNG!
 
Set legendary pickup at lvl 1+, this will enable u to pick up all legendary plans. As running on T1 doesn't really mean u will only be getting lvl 10 crafting plans so if u set ur pickup for legendaries at lvl 60+ some lower lvl plans will be ignored even tho u have checked to pick up plans.

And yes, after 2.0, i have not gotten any duplicates for those that i have already LEARNT.

Since 2.0, if you've already learned a given plan, it WILL NOT drop again. However, if you haven't learned it, and you have a set of plans in your inventory, it can drop again and again until you actually teach it to your artisan. Nothing RNG about it at all.

Same. I think I've got all plans now. I even started buying the cheap plans before AH shut down because I didn't want to find them. So disappointing to find level 4 plans.

I have 2x of the same plans lol. And I've learned 1 of them already. =/
