Just find it a lot of troubling cause i have been waiting to check ban reports for like three hours

They are having some sort of issue.

BIGWIGS: I'm not going to pretend I know what's going on on your end but for the amount of money I paid I would really appreciate it if I could have a working website to check on during a maintenance day and on some sort of a regular basis.

The issue is a massive botnet, which attacks us since weeks.

I wanna scratch my eyes out everyday i try to do anything in this forum, Its sad days. ;(

Another way to close you guys down than sue you i guess ! (massive paranoid illution about blizzards dooing this)

yeah i've been have regular issues to access the forum as well.
funny thing is, when i try through one of those website proxies, i manage to access the forums without problem.

Getting kind of annoying really, you'd think people would have better things to do.

They need to allowing mirroring, and come up with 4-8 people who have ok-to-great internet service to host the forums. Its been many years since i worked in that field, but I think you can configure your DNS to redirect to alternate IPs (the mirrors).

Its not impervious, but it would require the DDoSers to target many IPs, dividing the resources of their botnet.

Forgive me if you're already doing this or if my understanding is flawed, its been more then 10 years since I worked in IT.

bros do something about the forum cos it is getting ridiculous refresh page boom error 500 , click another link boom site is offline or something
there are services out there who protect sites against ddos for a fee , saw u were using something called cloudfire but they obviously are not good - cos the forum is still not working

www.thebuddyforum.com is being under a DDoS attack since early January 2013 - we tried to keep the forum up as long as we can, but as you see, it is failing the last couple of days.

We are informing you, that we ordered new hardware, to be able to handle all that bogus traffic, that forces our MySQL server to run on 100 % CPU load and fail to serve the information to the user.

We expect the new hardware to be delivered and configured, and then set live around Saturday or Sunday ( 9th - 10th February )
