that seems like a waste of unholy runes, using plague strike so much? Besides if you look at the elitistjerks article, they say that static rotation is dead. It is all about priority casting now.
But i'll give your rotation a try once hb is updated.

My DK is now 75 unholy specced. Really good work !
 
OK thsi CC is great for PvE but amazingly bad for PVP tested and was just bad, but i know pvp hasnt really been looked at so cant wait fro a pvp release!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I use priority in raids. This was more just to farm heroics. I would never use a castsequence macro in raids. I just hate farming heroics so I make it as easy and painless as possible. lol

TBH I wouldn't bother, the macro works well but isn't perfect as you say it wastes resources, on quick fights such as hc's you won't notice a difference but in longer fights such as raids you'll really feel the pain. if it were me i wouldn't want to get people to learn bad habits.
 
This works well, managing a whopping 2400 DPS on a 65 training dummy as a 71 unholy DK.

However, I noticed that it changes presence quite a lot, from frost to unholy, back to frost. Not a spam, but every three fights or so.
Ain't got a log right now, just wondered if you were aware of this, and if it's meant this way? I havn't played DK after the patch really, so I've no clue if it's a DPS increase to change presences in the middle of a fight :)

Yeah that was something I was trying, it would switch to frost presence on adds and back to unholy when only 1 target was left, but it was causing too much switching and losing GCDs.
Changed it so it only changes to frost on adds but not back until out of combat, will be included in the next update.
 
More deathstriking please!

Anyone else thinking DK feels weaker than it used to? My first 80 in WOTLK was a DK leveled it blood and dont remember it getting battered as much as this, then again i have 11k HP - I guess thats quite low for level 73 =/

Btw. I went through the topic and read that the IB targeting issue has been fixed.

I'm running an unholy spec atm.
Seems like combat does not work in the Nexus.
The bot is running Azjol nerub atm and now it's working fine. :S

Edit: Strange. Now its even working in the nexus :D

According to Elitist Jerks (which the CC creator's rotations are based off of), Frost Presence is better for AoE DPS, and Unholy Presence is better for single target DPS.

Try grabbing 0.5.1 should switch presence alot less as Unholy.
And yes as ShinobiAoshi said it is because Frost Presence is alot better for AoE.
 
Just thought of something fedehat. First off, great CC it's simple, and works quite effectively.

Would it be possible to add in a conditional, as unholy, to death grip adds to you that are casters or ranged only, when they're attained as an add?

Scenario: I am grinding in Hellfire right now on the orcs. There are both melee and caster orcs that the grind profile encounters. Obviously the melee character will come to me, but the casters will stay at range. As an Unholy spec'd DK, Unholy Command (tier 1 talent) refreshes the cooldown once a mob is killed. Since you've just killed said melee mob, the caster mob is still at distance. The DK now has an available death grip again due to melee being smashed to death. The If statements (I am assuming the CC works on If conditionals, I'm not a programmer/coder) should be relatively easy to set?

Something like:

If add caster
If Death grip cooldown available true
Use Death Grip
If Death grip cooldown available false
Use Melee

Very rudimentary guesstimate. As I said, I am no coder, so I am not sure if that is available.

Tell me what you think :)

I like the suggestion too. Something else id change is DnD as part of the rotation. Id suggest taking it out. I'm not sure but I think blizz buffed the aggro gen on it since whenever I drop it I can watch omen and see my threat skyrocket. I've pissed off a few tanks that tell me to "stop dropping that shit or I'll let you tank and die." Maybe its just me but I had a very bad string of HCs yesterday. Your CC works great otherwise. :D
