Simple Gathering Tip for RB

I think what you may be experiencing is somebody elses profile uses <itemnames> for gathering instead of <slot> and you have not have gathered that object before, leaving it as ???.
But yes if you don't have the required gathering for the item it will give you a 0% chance to be gathered. Some 3star/4star items require a minimum perception to attempt gathering them. If that is the case the node itself will say Perception greater than or equal to 420.

I know what I am talking about. The bot stands next to an area with absolutely no sign of any node. There is no light shining on the tree. There is no little leaf or feather on the map. You click "Triangulate" and it still cannot find the node. The bot just stands there next to what seems like a random tree. You try to move the bot, but your character will not move unless you stop the bot. Then, you go repair your gear, and come back. Now, the bot can find the node. Now, the node shows up on the map. Now, the light shines where the node is. This has happened several times.
I have experienced this enough that I know it is an issue caused by low stats on my gear. It is fixed by either repairing or upgrading the gear on your character.
This never happened to my characters when RePear was working. I have been told that Agil is now working for repairs, so I will try it today.

It might be "Gathering" rather than "Perception" but it is definitely an issue that involves low stats that can be caused by losing all of the durability on your gear. I have often fixed the problem by either repairing or upgrading my gear.
I do know that both "Gathering" and "Perception" are necessary to find unspoiled nodes regardless of whether or not the node contains HQ items. If you do not have enough of either stat, you will never find the node.
