Sigh upto 72hour review once you buy another copy of D3 WTF!

Just bought my second copy of D3 and need to wait upto 72 hours...

Anyone else had this and know how long it took roughly (hope I dont have to wait the full 72 hours!)
 
You can remove the waiting period by changing your password on the account.
 
your a fuckin life saver! Ill have your babies if you let me!
 
is this "72 hours waiting period" the thing that prevents u to trade with other players?

Yeah think so.. luckily mine didnt even last 24 hours. paid with credit card not paypal so maybe thats faster
 
Can someone go into a bit more detail about what this is about?
 
Its a waiting period before you can trade, or use the RMAH, your also unable to drop items for people. The change password thing is not working for me :( looks like ill need to wait!
 
Oh that's a bit lame. So if I was to buy a new copy of D3, I wouldn't be able to trade or anything until 72 hours had passed? :/
 
This question might have been asked before but why did blizzard implement this exacly ?... Seems kinda stupid :P

Its so you cant buy a copy, use a char to mule/launder/sell money real quick, then ask paypal for chargeback/refund after tasks were done.

you cant pass lvl13 use rmah or trade. if you buy the digital copy. just go to the store and buy a hard copy

i had to wait the full 72hours, changing pw didnt help, even tried changing all my bnet accounts pws didnt help. after the 72hours i was able to lvl up but still couldnt trade or use rmah, that is when changing the pw worked for me
 
I had to wait about a day and a half on a new account also. Changing PW didn't help. Seems rather hit and miss with that trick.

They fixed it earlier so you can level past 13. "The good news is that with the release of the 1.0.3a patch, level and content restrictions for "unverified digital purchasers" is now removed. The bad news is that all other restrictions remain in place: no access to public games, no auction house, no trading, no chatting in public or game channels, no customized messages with friend requests and no Global Play until their payment information is verified." Did you pay with a credit card or with PayPal? I am pretty lazy and was going to buy a digital copy but perhaps I will head over to my local game shop and get a physical copy.

Well shoot. been 2 days and im lvl 30 and can use the auction house but still cant trade :(
 
Just buy a retai cd key from allcdkey or whatever else retailer. Turned out cheaper for me, as Blizzard likes to charge Australians $15 more than US people in their store.
