Should I expand the "business?"

I've always been a 1-2 bot kinda guy. I make between 30k-60k per day on a very busy server, and I sell gold once or twice a week. It brings in some nice income considering the tiny amount of effort required. I'm thinking about taking advantage of the sale and buying 4 more accounts and upgrading my 2 HB licenses to each be 3-instance licenses. I could possibly make a killing with this, if it all goes as planned.

My concern is that running 5-6 accounts on one IP (one computer more specifically) could possibly get all of the accounts banned. What are your experiences with this, those of you that do heavy multibox botting? Also, would leveling these 4 accounts together (chain them together with RaF) be a viable option? How long might it take? Finally, should I make all of the accounts bot on the same server, or on different ones?
 
Everyone will have their 2 cents about this because nobody knows exactly what Blizzard's alarm criteria are. From what I've seen it's only a problem if you get reported... so I try to stay away from things that could get me reported. I never have multiple bots running on the same profile (which means I would recommend against using RAF too much), I don't flood the auction house, and I try to be respectful of players. I try to monitor it as much as I can - even just to reduce the amount of time the bot is sitting in a tree. All of the common sense stuff. Now if you do get reported and bliz decides to look into your account think about what you can do to reduce the chances of having all of your accounts wiped out. Some people use VMs, some people use proxies, and others think well if I do get wiped out I'll just start again. It's not that hard - it just takes time.

Been wanting to do this exact think myself for some time now, but that doubt always sits in the back of your head about cost against risk!

I've got a second PC, which connects to the internet using mobile internet instead of my home broadband. As long as I always use a specific set of accounts each PC, it'll be impossible for blizz to trace me.

Once I master 2 account botting, I think I may go with my that plan! - I'm still pretty much a noob.
 
i bot on 3 accounts atm and play on main ( never bot on main ) but a small business sounds fun to me :)
 
anything that is done by auto and not single player clicks is as far as im aware
 
Thanks for the responses. I think I may try it. I've been botting for a long time now... since the beginning of Glider in fact. I've not been banned once, and I "suicide bot" (botting for days on end) every now and again. I think it's just a matter of luck and a bit of common sense. I'm thinking that I'm going to go for it.
 
The more bots the more bans that's what i've seen which is ofcourse normal but if ur looking to make real money from this i woulden't recommend it.
If you're gonna use scroll of resurrection don't use it on the us becouse those get asked for id very quikly.

It's ur choice to expand the bussiness but with gold prices and ore/herb prices and such dropping and already at a low point i would think it over.
They do actually look at ip but that's something which you can't really do anything about unless you got ''bussiness ip's'' which you can get from a isp if you have a bussiness contract with them I believe around 250 ip's is possible but this internet is alot more expensive then ur normal one and it depends on ur isp.
Using a *** or anything is worse then using ur actual ip becouse it will get noticed and alot of people have reported to be banned for it.

If ur looking to expand big then get bussiness ip's make sure each computer uses 1 ip and get a few computers but since that would likely cost you alot.
Just use 1 ip if ur not looking to expand to too much bots and that's it it may seem like an easy job but it isn't.

Also try not to ask for too much information becouse I myself am only giving you tips becouse gold prices and ore/herb prices are low so i coulden't really care very much about it but this isn't a bussiness where you get alot of good tips on how to do it.
most of the information is pretty standard ur biggest concern are bans and the honorbuddy auth issuess which come up every now and then hopefully they are fixed now.

Lastly everything you earn from goldselling above a certain minimum which isn't taxable in most country's 500 or 1000 a year you gotta pay taxes over it.

Yeah, I'm not going to use SoR. I'm taking advantage of the sale prices. I don't think I'd go for a business connection though, since I only have 6 accounts. I might just try it out and see what happens.

Gold prices are actually still at a very profitable level for me, considering the rate at which I can earn the gold. I think it'll probably pay off to give it a shot.
