Short delay on AUTH and Shop - Our host has an failure on several servers

Guys... I fucking love morga. Also, no biggy... I wanted to hit 80 before brewfest, probably won't now, ah well, but there's still plenty of time :). Good luck with the auth guys!
 
Don't know why you are turning so hostile about me making an observation.
I'm sure I'm only saying what others are thinking. But if you feel I did something so unacceptable that I need to be punished for it,
you do what you must.
 
thanks for the update, and people really do need to calm down i mean you pay for a not legit service
shit happens i mean if we were buying from blizzard then yeah i would expect everything to work well
I would suggest renting a small server for this and just auth to that, I mean all the server handles is
requests you need the a top of the line server im ok with waiting 15secs for me to log in
buy cheap servers and dispose of them it might make life easier.


i saw the eta for the update was about 2-3hrs any update on that?
 
How can you pay for an not legit service of an officially registered german company which pays taxes ? *wounder*

Don't act like a shithead and people will generally not treat you like a shithead. Pretty simple. Most people learn that early in life. Then again you might be below that age requirement. I don't know. I do like Morga tho. Chicks who game AND bot are hot.
 
Sorry but since this is now a weekly event, something should be done to have a backup plan in place so the whole deal aint shut down like this every week. Thing is who ever is doing this is succeeding so he aint gonna quit
 
little server, even full of them , will go down 1 by 1 , itsnt the way to fight such ddoss, little server just mean, they will get overloaded much faster, 2-4 gig ram with a little processor dual core will go down within 2 min on a small attack without filterer, even if you add 100 of them , you will simply annoye the compagnie hosting them without speak of the cost and banwitch used. There is no real way to fight ddoss, ip come from china most of the time and even if you block them, news ip always show up. Switching server is costly or hoster is costly and matter of min, hours or days before same thing happend, it always depend how fast are the ddoss at switching the stuff.

@mezz0; If you don't like the auth servers, that's your own problem. The fact that they're down, is really out of our hands. We're trying as hard as possible to bring them back up, on a more stable setup. If you don't like the idea that we take certain measures to protect our intellectual property, then maybe you should go elsewhere. Sorry that we 'broke your bot', but unforseen circumstances aren't really something you pay to not have. The fact that the servers have been online as long as they have, is a shock in itself.

Mezzo's frustrated just like developers are frustrated. No reason to be malicious towards Mezzo just because he's frustrated like everyone else.

I would feel better about the situation if I thought it wasn't going to continue to happen, however, as mentioned above, these DDOS attacks have been extremely successful and therefore will continue.

Also mentioned above, the cost of implementing a system that could avoid these DDOS attacks is out of the question.

So one of two things needs to happen.

1) HB customers need to get over it, realize they are not obligated to bot 24/7 simply because they paid for the product.

or

2) HB ccould implement a way to grant temporary access while the Auth servers are down.

We all know which "solution" it'll be.
