I found this tutorial on how to GPS spoof using an unrooted android phone. The hack only works for Android Marshmallow, though.

I haven't tried this myself.

can confirm works awesome but what most of these guides don't tell you is, that you have to cover your phone(backside) with tinfoil, in order to prevent the gps module getting your location. if you don't do that, you jump back and forth between real and fake gps position, the so called "rubber banding".

Thanks for the tinfoil tip. Jumping back and forth between real and fake gps positions can be a problem. When Fighting gyms, you can will get the gym glitch where you can't fight in that gym for 5 minutes or you could also get an IP soft ban where your phone is not going to see pokestops or pokemons for a longer period. I do GPS spoofing in another way, but my method only works for my phone and I have run into these problems because of the GPS jumping. I literally quit fighting gyms when gps spoofing.
