Sorry to be a nusiance if this has been asked already but the thread is 118 pages long and doing a search on feral spirits brings up the thread in search not the post. Im currently finding feral spirits really arent used all that often when im watching my toon. he sits at half health and wont pull out his dogs unless he gets adds and even then he doesnt do that till he is nearly dead. What setting is used to determine at what health % the pups get called, and how do i make him call them on single pulls, becos my own profiles i dont mind him killing elites (which your cc does well except for the down timedue to no pups being called).
Not a nuisance at all Ceduna, but based upon your description I'm guessing you are referring to the above while using a Grinding profile so I'll answer in that context. Go to the
Grinding tab of ShamWOW Configuration (accessed by HB's CC Configuration button.) A couple options work together to give you control over Feral Spirit.
The
Stressful Fight Abilities allows you to designate abilities you want to save for casting only during stressful fights. If an option is checked, the ability is only cast when your involved in a Stressful Fight. If not-checked, then it will cast the ability when it comes off cooldown and you are in combat.
What is a Stressful Fight? The default values appear below the checkboxes, so if you fight a mob 3+ levels higher than your current level or 2 or more mobs at once. Fighting an Elite or another Player is always considered stressful.
So, if I understand your scenario correctly you can cause Feral Spirit to be cast when off cooldown by clearing the
Feral Spirit checkbox in the list of abilities to save for stressful fights. By default, that ability is checked so it is saved for circumstances that require it. Theoretically you could also reduce the number of mobs from 2 to 1, but I don't recommend that as it affects other behaviors as well. In other words, it would treat every fight as stressful and I don't recommend that.
By default, ShamWOW is setup to save some key abilities for stressful fights (Feral Spirit being one of them.) This allows better performance on PVP Realms and profiles which randomly cause you to agro adds or an elite, because the abilities won't be on cooldown when you really need them. That comes at a price though since you have an overall DPS loss since you benefit from Feral Spirit burst less frequently.
So hope that answers how to do what you wanted and why the defaults are set as they are. If you find that after modifying the options you feel it isn't working as it described, please be sure to attach a complete debug log file so that I can assist you. Thanks for the post, Bobby53
