Same problem, my Enhancement Shaman don't stop spamming WaterShield/LightningShield instead of kill the mob :x
And i don't find the things that you are discribing Destructodave

Open the shaman.cs file in notepad, go to edit, then find or find next and type in either lightning or shield and just keep hitting find next until you see some string resembling casting or checking to cast lightning shield. Dont delete every lightning shield string, some of it is for procs and combat and whatever. Just look for a string that says something about Logchecking for lightning shield and delete that. Thats what i did and he stopped spamming it.

I only deleted one thing. Im currently trying to look thru and find what it looks like for you because there is a flametongue version right above it that has the same string name.


EDIT: I think it looked something like this:

Log("[Buff] check for [Lightning Shield] as [{0}]", localName_LightningShield );

I am not 100% positive though, I added lightning shield in there. I would just search for "Log("[Buff] check" instead.

My toon is broken? By a guy using the bot for a month.
I can assure you, in 473ilvl, it oomed after 45secs and ran 22k hps over the fights in Raidfinder. The CC is fucked mate. Stop telling people what is possible in the manner of a smug child.

im hitting 25-30k hps ilvl 461 atm and not ooming for quite some time the low heals could be from others healing faster and over healing their asses off causing hb to stopcasting cause he has hit a %
 
It started again.. but for now with out that string. wth

edit - if i solo - it's ok. If i make party - it started to re-shield every gcd.
i need to make party for cross-server location, because of other bots on this place)

Why it started shielding again with party or raid ...

Ok so from what I can see the only time shamwow messes up and keeps spaming /stopcast is when he reaches 80% health and I did everything i could to change things around anyone else have any ideas??
 
HI ur profile for shammy is good, but only miising for me using trinkets and totems (healing tide, healing stream) can u bobby add it ?
 
it would be just great if you say: "Hey Guys, I'm not working on ShamWoW anymore". At least you will prevent that some of us (lots of us) lose their time checking this thread every single day.

The best part is when you PM him and ask nicely what is going on with this project AND lazy raider and he doesn't have the courtesy to respond to you...
 
I check this thread everyday hoping for an update too =p...Be great if we get a response if the project is dropped or your currently busy atm, but will update it when you have time etc. You making me OCD checking it daily haha. WTB lazyraider update too sir ty.
 
Got a pm from him a while ago basically explaining he's busy with singular but will update this when he has time. Patience!
 
I wrote bobby, and this is his answer: "No, it's not abandoned. Have just been focusing on Singular at the moment because it impacts more people (since it supports all classes/specs.) A ShamWOW update is forthcoming."

It may take some time, but i my opinion it's worth waiting, since shamWOW used to be an amazing CC. Just wait till Bobby is done with singular.
 
well with the state of the routine..... Who has noticed the reduction in shammy healers even though they are REALLY GOOD right now? and the rise of the pally healer since TUANHA released his routines...
 
Anyone know of a paid resto cc? Wish tunha would do shaman since bobby is slow on updates
 
Kingwow is killing it right now low over healing and keeping me at 35-50 hps atm
 
I can't honestly say I know exactly what bobby53 is doing, but I do know that he's been recruited to work on Singular, which in my opinion is probably eating up all his free time now, so he can't work on ShamWoW. Singular is supposedly getting better and better since bobby's been working on it. I think he volunteered to work on it, or maybe he was talked into working on it, but I do know that that's what he's doing now. I read some recent posts of his in the Singular thread. He's still active, but now his time is being spent elsewhere on different projects. I think ShamWoW will get updated, but only when bobby decides to take it back up as a project.
