Selling mass product (Ore/Herbs/Ingredients)

How do you guys go about moving hundreds and hundreds of stacks of ore/herbs etc.

I've heard of people getting banned when they drop a huge amount of gathered goods on the market at once; what have you all found when posting stacks on stacks on stacks? Is it better to post in single amounts or stacks of 10/20?

What seems to be the limit to stay under the radar?

I have thousands of Ghost Iron Ore and no idea what to do with it....

Find a private buyer for all your stacks, you don't make as much per stack but you unload it all at once and your attracting attention through AH.

The other alternative is to list your goods on several toons.
Each toon undercuts the other slightly; people assume that others are "playing" the market - when really, it is just you.

Once the price is manipulated, inflated, to where you "want" it - then find a private buyer who, as the previous post explains, will be slightly under AH price.
Since YOU set the AH price, you control the margins and now you may move all of your product via either trade of CC mail.

I shuffle it, to cover more of the market..
then i basically just find a private buyer to sell off some of the ores cheap.

....................don't drop a huge amount of gathered goods on the market at once. Common sense, people. If you see people getting banned from doing something, don't do that something!

Seriously. Nothing says you HAVE to put it all up at the same time. Put some of it up, wait till it sells, then put more up. You can even do this with the mobile armory app while the mats are sitting in your mailbox.

I can contribute here, not as an experienced botter, but as a very experienced trader, multiple gold capped just from trading in the past.

You can spot the bot sellers a mile off if you are an experienced trader. e.g. I just bought 28 stacks of thorium at 10 silver a piece of either a botter or a hacked account. If i was a regular (legitimate) thorium miner I would have probably looked to report whoever posted all that and half crashed the market.

As others have said, golden rules as follows:

1) Don't post more than 10x stacks per character.
2) Don't undercut by 50% of market rate or more, it's so damned obvious.
3) Use an addon such as TSM or Auctioneer so you are aware of market prices, I know you want to shift the goods, but a little patience to let the market recover if it is flooded will pay off.
4) For mats with limited demand, such as gold bars, or varied demand in terms of volume, such as enchant mats, it can help to post a few stacks of 1x 2x 5x or 10x, rather than the whole 20x at once, to pick up market grazers not volume buyers.
5) If the market is just flooded, don't help crash it further, just forget about it for a week, and send the mats to a bank alt for a while.
