you said that minning is safe now.. but just think, if the herbalisim will come unprofitable, a lot of people will go for minning, titan ore will come shit?
 
yes and no. as long as sar bars still sell for 1.25g a pop... it will still be pretty profitable :)
 
Those that say that this won't change the farming of the lotus just don't make sense.

How many frost lotus do the avarage raider/casual raider get per day atm without herb? None.
How many frost lotus will the avarage rader/casual rader get per day after the patch without herb? Around 3-4.


Yes it will fuck up the economy around eternals / lotus.
 
... remember, ppl will also get life and fire eternals (as fire eternals sell for just as much as FL sometimes)
 
It will affect the botting. Will happen the same thing just like with the infinite dust proc rate back then. After they changed the proc rate of infinite dust, the market was filled and you couldn't do much profit.
 
Frozen orbs being used for frost lotus is no big deal, you forget most people use the random LFG, which can mean up to 5 servers in once heroic, Its not like its all server based no more on the increase of orbs, the numbers are still gonna be low, specially because people will start needing them again. Just gotta remember, that doesn't just affect one server, but now effects a battlegroups, so changes will be minor.

The increased drop on Frost Lotus however is a different thing >.>

What would you check ? Its obvious frost lotus wont be on golds from a vendor ever. Even a chicken agrees with me on that. Mmochamp>mmowned
 
lol sorry. i think you miss understood me. i saw the link was to a picture from mmowned.com ... i was commenting in regards to that (meaning i would have linked something similar for helping here - but i dont check mmowned due to it sometimes taking forever to load)

As for blizzard caring about the botting accounts, you're crazy if you think that the revenue from botters matters. If it did you wouldn't get banwaves and instant perm bans for even speculation about botting. Even if every member of this board had 50 accounts that's still only 50,000/11500000 = .4%. They've advertised publicly banwaves that were nearly as large before. You break the TOS, they will ban you simple as that.

This will shake out the impatient because no you might not be able to make 3-5k anymore, but its not going to completely destroy the economy. It's going to shift to other goods, whatever they might be. Also this is typical going into an expansion. With the expansion probably no more than 6 months away people are going to slow down and stop raiding as much and consuming resources. They will be casually farming and hording gold themselves knowing that when the expansion hits everything upto that point is mostly moot. Especially now that people are beating the Lich King or getting close the economy will dip significantly. When the expansion comes out you'll see prices skyrocket again.

I made well over 100k completely legit when wrath came out and that was selling cobalt ore at like 30-40g/stack mined up while leveling.

Just relax and stop getting yourselves in a tissy. It's no big deal.

Of course they care. It's just that their revenue from botters doesn't come from gamecards or in general maintaining your accounts. It comes from banning the shit out of us. New accounts, new expansions, we pay. And their numbers grow. They say they have xx million accounts. Not active accounts :)

They would ban even legit players in a jiff if they could. They know, though, that they won't be coming back. Botters do ... in numbers!
