Hard to say, the value of gold is falling and falling, as is item value on the RMAH. The profitability of botting d3 will continue to decline until it only will make a little bit per bot, which is built into blizzard's design of the markets and combat/late game drop system. For now I would say gold, but by next week gold will be worth 1$/mil, maybe less, at which point it will probably be better to hope you get lucky on perfectly rolled gear, which also will not be selling for what it used to. Got to give BLizzard credit on this one, they beat the botters with system planning, not detection.
Which is probably why they haven't enabled gold sales on the RMAH yet... The only re-playability D3 has/had is the AH and between it becoming increasing saturated and the inherent monotony of a game with no build variance (elemental properties on weapons don't even have an applied affect) people will uninstall after they complete inferno. Everything about the game is shit; how do you remove features, add a RMAH and expect to profit? (which is obviously what they had in mind)
"4 players per room" "excellent, lets go with it"
"how about elemental properties that do absolutely nothing" "I like where you're going with that, add it"
"hey guys, what about pvp?" "We'll no longer be needing your services, consider this your 2 weeks notice" ""
