Running more than one Diablo instance

Hello, so I've tried the copy/paste method (created a shortcut and used the "-launch", etc.) and I've also tried the Agent method (delete the Agent folder & change the agent.db), but I can only open up one instance of Diablo. The other Diablo will either (if I open the copied version) will go to the splash screen and then crash, or (if I start the original version) will open to the game, but remain in a black screen.

What am I doing wrong?

*Edit* My computer specs are fully capable of running more than one diablo instance.

so you made a short cut to each on of the diablo 3 folders? like i have 3 folders for diablo 3 and i have 3 shortcuts on my desktop to each one of them. and its to the diablo 3 exe not the launcher exe. is this what you have done. if so i would suggest isboxer then you can launch as many d3 clients as you want from 1 install with it.

But I'd rather not have to purchase IsBoxer :/ and yes, I copied my first Diablo to another folder, and created another shortcut with the -launch from the Diablo III.exe...
 
Both diablo shortcuts need the -launch.... You use the shorcut to the Diablo.exe only.
 
Seems like you're doing everything right. Maybe try adding to the shortcut to run as admin and/or failing that, run in compatibility mode. Mine doesn't but maybe it may help.

sorry i couldnt help ive just always used isboxer for things like this. the window managment and sizing and core allocation is awesome to pass up. its so worth the yearly sub.
