So, I'm currently running some bots and I've finally come to the point where i need to start turning my gold into $.

So my question is, use the RMAH or the black market?

Is there any limits for how much i can transfer to my paypal? (RMAH)

If my account(s) get banned while i still have money on my bnet account, will i still be able to transfer them or will it become locked?

Peace out!

Well the highest 1 auction can be is $250 USD... So if you have more then $250 you will have to use another auction slot. You can't transfer money from your bnet to paypal so it is recommended that you just send it straight to paypal instead.

Selling on the "black market" or outside of blizzard has more risk imo... Those "black market" people can do one of two things... you give them your gold and they say "haha sucks to be you thanks for the free gold" or they pay you for the gold and just have paypal reverse the payment. I would much rather pay the fees blizzard has to guarantee I get the money.

Just transfer straight to paypal and not your bnet account. The money will always be available on your bnet account but I rather have it paypal.

No personal experience but I've heard the name playerauctions being thrown around.

But wont it be a little suspicious when I have some pretty big payouts that blizzard can track?

From my own experience I'd go with RMAH. Sold 100m gold through Offgamers.com last week and a few days afterwards I got banned. I'm very convinced that would never have happened if I had sold it through the RMAH.

Best thing to do is, sell it personal to people in your country.

Money on bank account.. GG

Because everyone has a customer base to do that, right? Get serious. The question was about selling via RMAH or to third party resellers. In my opinion, you're much safer just selling via RMAH. While I don't personally sell gold, I've made almost $1k this month from selling items via RMAH with just 1 bot. Like someone above me said, I'd take the Blizz cut any day to know for a fact that my money is on the way, instead of worrying about being hacked, banned, or having the funds reversed a few days later.

On the other hand, I've made a ton of money in previous years botting WoW and selling gold to third party resellers, and never had a problem with anything I mentioned above. In the end, it comes down to what's most comfortable for you. After being caught in the first DB banwave and losing my main, I'm taking a safer approach with this account and it seems to be paying off in spades. Either way, good luck.

Thanks for the answers

Another thing; I realized that the flawless gems for example goes for 0.26€ according to the RMAH, is there some stuff on the RMAH that never gets sold? Like tomes, gems etc

Obviously that stuff doesn't sell. When you can buy something in the gold auction house for 100 gold, don't expect it to sell for $0.26.

Well, kinda stupid by blizz to have the 0.25 limit on that stuff =/

People you know still count as 'the black market' and his point stands. It is great advice. Clearly we couldn't sell everything we get to trusted friends but some of it for a higher profit for you and a cheaper cost for them is safe and win-win.
