Plenty of players including legitimate ones are getting banned just by buying from RMAH due to
- Dumb Blizzard auto-suspension filters
- Conflicting Account Name/PayPal name
- Conflicting Geo-IP and Server Region
- Conflicting PayPal Region and Server Region
- Your Seller belongs to the above or does something even naughtier
- Blizzard just feels that suspending/banning your account is more profitable

With so much risk involved, no wonder RMAH is much cheaper than GAH.

Funny, I'm always buying cheap stuff from the GAH and reselling on the RMAH for profit.
Most things seem overpriced to me (EU RMAH).

i got suspended cause the first name on my paypal account didnt match the first name on my battlenet account.
Resolved is 12 hours later on the phone with someone. Now I sell gold/items daily on RMAH and havent had a problem since.
idk?

It's the other way around. Usually everything is more expensive in the RMAH, you can get more $ per gold by buying from GAH and reselling on RMAH.

this usually. pair of boots up that were only 50 int better than mine with AR, PR, int, vit for 250$. not that anyone would buy that...

I find selling stuff on gah much easier and faster. RMAH, stuff sits for a long time even if priced 50% of lowest buyout because rmah price people inflate for no reason (not as accurate to gauge a selling price based off buyout) and it gets less traffic from buyers.

But if you're ultimately going for $, then the GAH sucks. Sell item, take a 15% hit. Sell the gold, take a 30% hit. Whereas the RMAH is just $1 + 15% if you can get it to sell that it.

But ya, a lot less buyers in RMAH.

I have bought several things off the RMAH (accidently sold something for battle.net balance instead of paypal /facepalm) No issues here.
