I tried it once (the first time) and it seems to work...

~30 to 35 ? for a used acc, most of them already lvl 60 toon on it with some gear, key, security question, mail.

but i am afraid the old owner can get his acc back with a copy of his pass, right? So it could be just a matter of time when my bot is going offline with this acc ;)

Anyone else already bought a old account, is there anything that can be done to make such trades more save?

greets

i buy local accounts no problem . i make sure to do a face to face when i buy . they usually dont take back if u meet them . no problems so far.

i bought one of my accounts from a fucker, after a month, he tried to recover his account, immediately emailed him, that im living 100km from him, so its not a problem for me if he want to "talk" face-to-face about his account.
4 days later get banned xD (18.12.2012) huehue

local accounts? the people i know real also search for accounts, not selling them :)

as far i know every old account owner can have his acc back without troubles when he gave blizzard his real name/adress.

so the only possibility is to buy a unused cd-key (which is mostly € 35+ ), get a somehow trusted person or someone who registered his account with something like "john miller"
(if you know what i mean...)

why not just change the email after u buy the account?

I remember buying accounts years ago for mmo games and changing the name and email and such to my name and email....
would blizz react to this?

as far as i know it is even possible to get the account back when mail has changed...

the original owner can always claim that the account has been hacked and send his pass

it's all about the account creation code. whoever has that can get it back and reset everything. if you don't have that then you need to send them an id matching account details.

So if you were buying an account what is all the info you need? What if they have an authenticator?

first and last name on account, security question, them changing the email of the account to you. then you can change it to your information.. they will always have the security answer.. but you can change your battle tag and your email so the only thing they will have to go on is their name..

How Can you change btag and Will that reset recent players? ( so no one Can se you botting.

its in battle.net account settings you can only do it once per account. and, no. but there's pretty much always going to be people there it doesn't necessarily mean they can see u botting ...

I got all my botting accounts from ebay. (talking EU here)
Normally I buy them for around 30-40 Euro. Barbs or Monks, already 60 with some Paragon lvls.
Things you should do when buying a "used" account

1) if you can, pay with paypal (you can get the money back if bought via ebay)
2) look at sellers reputation
3) ask if you still can change the battletag and if he is the first owner of the account (if not, leave it)
3) change battletag (so the seller cannot see what is going on on his old account and get tempted to claim it back)
4) try to get a scan of their drivers license (in case you need to unlock your account from blizz)

And yes, they can always get back their account, even if you changed email, battletag, etc. They just call blizzard tell them their name the account is registred and send their ID.
Bought already 13 accounts this way. Only had trouble with one stupid yerk so far. (After 2 months he claimed his account back from blizzard and one week later he wanted to sell it via ebay one more time. Wrote him a short mail, told him that a good friend of mine is a lawyer and that he should better return it. 10 minutes later, i had the account back - one week later banwave hit me ^^)
