Any chance this century we'll see MinFreeBagSlots, MinDurability, SellColor and MailColor taken out of the profile(s) and into the HB core settings?

I see absolutely no reason why a profile writer should decide when my bot should repair and when to sell items, and which items should sell/mail.

And I'm pretty sure most of the community agrees with me on this.

It makes no sense. It doesn't make any sense for profile writers to guesstimate that value and all chars that could use that profile and no sense to spend time editing the profiles each time you level up a new char/spec/class.

why not just open the profile and change it ? :P

^ this.

otherwhise stop download community made profiles and start making your own ones. there is absolutly no problem in just changing 2 lines of code.

The logic here is that variables that show up in EVERY profile should be something that are set in the base HB options. It isn't an issue with editing the damn things.

By that logic they should roll out Food name, Drink name, Mount name, pull distance, etc, out of HB and into the profiles, too.

Moved out of support, since its not really a support item.

The difference being those settings are the same no matter what you are doing, profile wise. I have different profiles with different dur/sell/mail/repair settings. If I'm doing low level instance farming, I set it to sell everything including purples and not worry about durability. If I'm farming high level stuff, I mail blue/purple, sell green/white, have a low durability. If I'm farming a specific item, I have it sell green, keep everything else. There are situations where you want one profile to have different settings than another and I'd personally rather not have to change my base settings every time I swap profiles.

Personally, I like the idea of having a "global" setting.

Maybe in the future we can add an "Override Profile Settings" option or something.

Now there's that compromise that makes sense. You so smart :D

Ah I didn't see ZNF made this thread. I thought he was going to bugtracker it, but this works :)

I disagree. It's not practical to have different profiles with different durability/selling/mailing/repair. It doesn't make sense, those settings should be set-once-and-forget for the majority of the community. Most people mail shit to banker alts, including white/green/blue/epics while farming for a specific item. Also, different chars (classes) need different repairing options. A ranged/caster wouldn't need to repair before it's durability reaches 10%. A melee class reaching 40% durability could mean it's weapon is broken. HB already saves stuff character based, to this just makes sense.

Last time I made a feature request in the bugtracker it was closed and marked as invalid. Apparently there's hidden reasons for the "Enhancement" tag in the bugtracker. I'm still waiting for someone to explain me how an enhancement can me marked as invalid "because it's not its place here"...

That definitely sounds like something Tony would do.

No, last time I checked, Tony doesn't handle the BugTracker.

I agree too. It won't be in the next release but we will do it soon.

well , very good idea, and to continue with that mind...kwhy not make char based tabs in HB... lets say i set all for my warrior -> then click on "save char setup" ..then set my druid stuff (pve)...then set my druid stuff (pvp) and we get little rollout menu where we can chose the char with the setup we just defined and saved earlier...so u can have different class setups for different actions, using the same profile with each class will be easy as hell...since we dont have to change EACH profile for all the different chars....understandable? ...its 19:30 and my brain used all power earlier today so idk if the english lesson provided here gets u better than a "6" in a test...

oh well actually copy and paste the stuff from the other bot around (pvptool) they made it almost exactly that way and - tried it out 5 mins ago- its working perfectly.

cheers, Sandy
