So been using demonbuddy for awhile, and it plays the game better than I even could. Evades things perfectly, stays out of poison ice and fire. It's Fawking awesome. Buuuuut. Now I hopped onto exilebuddy and I'm DEEPLY DEEPLY disappointed.. :/

I have a witch I've leveled up to 58, shes a summoner and casts fireball for lots more dps. The bot stands there and makes flaming skulls, only raises a few zombies per encounter and sits and gets attacked and dies, over and over. And over. And over. What happened to the awesome coder/scripters that made my demonbuddy kite and play the game like a pro so I could actually get something out of it??

Two different games, don't expect the same bot, that's just being ignorant.
Diablo 3 has 10 times the population of PoE. That should answer most of your questions.

It really does just come down to PoE and D3 being totally different games, and a difference in the community size. A lot of people bot PoE to make money as well, so if anyone had really good stuff, there's a good chance they will keep it private. Hopefully with the new Beta, more devs try to do more public stuff for the game, but PoE is a pretty small game with a very niche audience; it's not for everyone.

I'm not going to get into why things are the way they are, because you'd have to have followed PoE for a while to really understand, but in terms of a "smart routine", you'd most likely want to start with the new beta being worked on.

In short, for Path of Exile and when it comes to Exilebuiddy, users have to make custom build tailored routines that do things better than they can. There's simply too many ways for skills to be used for us to provide anything that works the way you want it to. The face tank strategy is certainly viable, and pretty much what the Release routine does. It's simple and users just have to spec and gear tanky, which is what the game requires, regardless. Unlike most other games, PoE is setup in a way to kill you, at just about every possible moment. It's a hard game, and it's certainly not a bot friendly game. The game is also constantly changing, so if you code too specifically for something, chances are it's going to require a lot of updates.

As time goes on, we'll hopefully see more comprehensive routines for specific builds, but, keep in mind that "awesome" bot stuff isn't made overnight, and there's a time progression required for a community to build up and start doing stuff with a game. EB has only been out for about 9 months now, and the game has drastically changed during that time; more so than most other games change in years. As a result, the majority of our development focus is keeping the bot updated and running, adding support for new game features, and maintaining the API. It's highly unlikely we'll ever have the development resources to focus solely on routines, because there's just too much other stuff that takes priority.

Yea give beta a try, it's fucking awesome, the amount of customization is mind blowing. I'm mapping with it atm.
Plus it's pretty smooth and optimized in with CPU and Memory.

No Vm bullcrap, no bot has anything as good as this bot, mind you this is one of my 5 pcs running atm, this is the "test" one where some of the PoE, are still being made to evade bans and etc, hence missing PoE numbers. But usually the machines run on 16 gigs, 20 PoE instance, when I team view into it, CPU goes to like 100% for about a min =). Here's proof shit works well and exile buddy is the best of the best.

Edit * 0 crashes since uptime. I'm not shitting you, and it's beta lol. Ops this is release. Beta is on another machine I can't team view atm, but trust me. Shit's optimized and runs smooth.
