xtenshisanx has every right not to release anything on our forums. (He can do whatever he wants outside of the forums as far as we're concerned. However, malicious stuff can still easily be blocked on our end)
I find it quite sad that people still horde their code so much. We're not building rockets here guys. The API has been severely simplified to make it available for people to use. Don't let your egos get in the way of making awesome additions to the bot.
Releasing things here on the forums means that
1) You agree to release under a BSD license (or similar). Other developers are welcome to use your code as a starting point to get their own code going. Sometimes that includes a bit of copy/pasting. However, we always require full credits to the original author.
2) You do not advertise external sites in your thread, or your code. (Advertising meaning: go here to get some other plugin Y to do X for some form of payment, etc) Referencing external articles and whatnot are obviously fine to do. (CodeProject, Sourceforge, etc)
More or less; it's a "don't be a dick" license. We've had far too many people getting angry over very silly things. (I've literally seen people argue over someone stealing their code. Of which, the code was effectively "Health > 50 && !Dead")
Just remember; we can't help support developers who refuse to help the community either. (It's give and take guys)
