It's true that I have only been using honorbuddy for about a month now. And Yes I am pleased with the results, it does what I need it to right now. As a programmer what I love about honorbuddy is the open api. I've written quite a few tweaks and extensions for myself. I suppose for non programmers the frustration might be a little higher as they don't have that option.

It's not about being a fanboy though, I welcome your view, it's the language that bothers me. Do you really think your going to achieve your goal of motivating these people by slinging insults their way?

All you 3 fanboys are not even 3 months part of that community...
You never saw the bot running almost flawless. You never saw the community developing plugins out of hell for that bot. You just see the shit now, which might be enough for you, but it isn't enough for the once which know, that something better can be done!
And you never saw a support, which was a support until new market came out!

Since the beginning of DB we have been obviously lied. They said that HB won't have any lag of support - lie! They said another team is working on DB - lie! (they even hired guys from the HB plugin team, so the plugins didn't get anymore updates) The devs are on holidays - lie! (or how does it come that they didn't know that 2 days before??) They said a new release comes in April - lie! They said a new release comes by the end of may - lie! They said a new release comes last Friday - lie! They said a new release is supposed to come today - pending... (but guess what will happen?!)
Since DB has been worked on, HB did not even get one single update, even if it's more than urgent!

So shut the fuck up, if you have absolutely no clue.

PS: I'm 27, I'm for sure not accepting some jerk calling me a raging kid! I'm not raging! I'm disappointed by HB, the devs and especially by the arrogant support! I list some facts which show off, why I'm (and hundreds too) disappointed about another delayed release!

1. Hundreds? Don't take numbers out of thin air. It wont make your case any stronger, in fact it only weakens it. Cause the only thing the rest of us see is that you're so unsure about your case that you have to pull
an imaginary number out of the hat to make your argument sound/look stronger.

2. Using foul language also makes your case look weaker. Calm and constructive manner gains followers, not big words just because you ran out of arguments.


3. Join date dosnt tell the whole story. (could be new forum user etc) And you havn't even been here a year your selv.

4. Don't say you're stating facts when you're not. As all of the above you're not really doing your self any favors.


My experience since the start of this bot, is that we have had and have the best bot for world of warcraft on the market. They took the best ideas from Glider and made them shine through Honorbuddy (well it was only gatherbuddy ar first if I remember correct) No bot in the past can compete with HB, and for my own part I paid some small sum a few years ago and I paid for the product they had back then. Not knowing where the developments would go or not.

Out of thousands of users (now that is a correct number my friend) luckily there are only a handful of complainers. And that dosn't mean that most dont dear to raise their voice, it actually mean that most people have a understanding of what ETA means. An understanding of shit hitting the fan, especially since not everything is in the hands of the dev team.

HB will continue to receive updates and great support. Just because D3 came out, dosn't mean that they will leave HB behind. That would be a horrible business decission and they know it. Just like Blizzard leaving WoW or SC2 behind just because D3 came out. You don't neglect your current products just because you launch something new.

Updates will be here when ready. All dates are ETA's and therefor not written in stone. So if it dosn't come today, there is a reason for it. I for one appreciate a working product free from bugs.

I don't know any facts, but with that said..............I am willing to bet a great deal of users are very disappointed in this bot. But you don't see them complaining because of 2 main reasons, first of all it would make no difference, secondly all the "fanboys" wanna flame everyone who says anything negative about HB. Not to mention, a great deal of the users of this bot haven't a clue how to use it "for proof look at the very long list of ridiculous post". The fact that HB may be better than most other bots is not an excuse not to fix the problems it has. Some people are docile, willing to sit back and take whatever crumbs they get. Me on the other hand, I am an american born and bred and you can bet I will speak out for what I think is right, and I promise you, I won't give a fuk what anyone else thinks about what I say. Right is right. Constantly being lied to and misled may be something people in other countries accept. We on the other hand don't put up with the bullshit.

While I can't speak for any other person's issues with HB, I can speak for my own...in it's present state, HB, and in specific ArcheologyBuddy, is 100% NON-AFK'able in Kalimdor. As it stands now, ArcheologyBuddy gets stuck at high altitudes in a few locations, and is stuck until you take manual action to make it unstuck. This issues is listed previously as one of the fixes slated for the next release. And again, until this next version is released, ArcheologyBuddy is broken (at least in Kalimdor).

So yea, for me personally, I'm trying to be patient. But in all honesty, I would like a new release sooner rather than later. Or at least a devs ACTUAL commitment on a release date, sooner rather than later.

Funny how you haven't told devs to quit posting fictitious release "eta's" or no information at all or lying to us saying they are making new bots but it won't affect HB releases or updates. Bullshit... 1st off it's my 2nd account - however on my 1st I was never using HB. 2nd It's more than likely, that NEW users create an account, as if you check the support forum you will see tons of issues, problems, etc... HB isn't that self explaining as everyone might think...

No excuse for not fixing bugs anymore or expanding it...

You should better try to take the facts... A handful = maximum 5 - just in this thread you will find far more.

IT'S A FACT THAT SINCE D3 CAME OUT THE RELEASE DATE OF A NEW HB AS BEEN POSTPONED 5 TIMES! Release was supposed to be by the end of April. Dev: "Sorry can't make it, DungeonB not finished - release end of May".
End of May. Dev: "sorry can't release it, still issues with DungeonB - release June".
June. Dev: "release on Friday (22.06.) with DungeonBuddy BETA (no word of that before) and some small bugfixes. No new stuck handler, etc which has been announced...".
22.06. Dev: "sorry, can't make it again, issues with auth, trolololol. Release on Monday (25.06.).
Monday 25.06. Admin: "no release today, dev is on holidays - release next Friday" (he didn't know that before!!!!111).
Now it's Friday, where is the next excuse? Or will it finally happen?

As far as im concerned it will be rdy when its rdy and just plough through till its out most people have had there moneys worth out of it within a few weeks or so of buying the bot.

I realised I'm back in the past... saw the exact same posts about MMOLAZY, about Glider, about MyWOW, about (fill in bot name from the past 5 years).

- ETA's are never going to be met. All developers from all other bots as well never met their ETA, so don't act surprised anymore Why this is, is probably because they run in to difficulties and don't want to release a product that does not work as intended. Imagine the comments and rants from users if they did release a product with errors... as a programmer, you can never do it right it seems
- Some people think they can claim support, updates, fixes etc. for a program they paid for only once in the past for a few bucks. I have not read the contract myself, but where did it state to have regular updates (and what is regular? Buying a new pc every year is also a form of regular) and fixes until the end of time? I paid for the product as it was back then, so I get the product it was back then. I'm glad with all the support and enhancements I get for the 29 dollars or so I've paid back then. Of course, if it's a subscription service, a different kind of SLA can be in effect. Sure, Windows gets updates, because they state that your pc needs to be safe and they fix issues. Did HB make this statement as well?
- Other people like me are more patient. The bot offers a lot, and though I can see the devs struggle with a small team to get it all flawless, a lot changes in the games itself too. This is not a simple program to make! This is advanced stuff and very diverse too. Also, it's a business, businesses make money. I personally don't think Diablo 3 has slowed down the development of HB. I also don't think Hawker and staff are "taking your money" to just have holidays and breaks all the time. My guess is they don't even make that much at all, but that is not our problem to be honest.

I saw this all before with other bots I've purchased; updates/fixes are always delayed, people are not satisfied, less money comes in and eventually the product dies. Except for Glider, this is what happened to most other promising bots. HB has been around for a long time now, so seems to be more stable. I've been using the product since 2010 and still am very satisfied, though I'm not using it to it's full potential. (No PvP for me for example).

Still, I also agree with some other people, stating that the communication from the devs is very limited. Updates are given by different people, stating different timetables. Every time an ETA is not met, we're not informed about that. No one actually knows which one of the staff gives the official word on this, maybe except Hawker.

This is so easily avoided. Make a sticky; post something about the progress, state some ETA's in the (distant) future and indicate when of why an ETA is not met. Details are not necessary, it's purly communication that all of us want. Again; this is the same issue why all the other bots died. No information on new releases, no ETA, no timetable or roadmap for the future. If you have a product, you need to have those. Clients want that

Pay attention to how many guest "perhaps potential buyers of HB" read these post. Best way to get results is to effect the wallet. Then ask yourself why I am telling it like it really is and not the way they want you to think it is.

I don't have anything personally against a single HB user. My problem is with the Devs for constantly lying to the users, and I am a user. And now that the influx of money has been reduced with HB, they focus their attention on other products which can bring in more money.........seems very obvious to me. If I am wrong....prove it.

Apoc and Raphus are on holidays and the geolocation stuff the Demonbuddy ruling caused us to make to auth locked out HB users yesterday. We should have a clean upgrade of auth done Friday and then we will do a test release. HB itself is ready - its just the auth servers that need work.
