It will be a test release. When you have bugs that are intermittent, finding them takes time and just because it works on our machines does not mean it will work on yours. I will be delighted if its bug free for everyone but realistically, I expect there will be another release within a week.

What did you guys expect really? They are going to go where the money is... Money was the force behind this product. Being a lifetime member it kinda sucks dealing with crap bugs and slow releases but yeah... not much else we can do. The only "upside" I could see to rift bot... money money = more devs = better bot(s)? Rift is pretty new and will die off soon imo. Support will be shifted back to wow.

I only get the invalid session when I stop the bot for 10+ minutes and then start it again. Yeah it didnt used to do that, but at least its predictable (for me) and something I know how to avoid/fix easily. Otherwise its working well for what I am doing atm; will def hang on to this release in case there's something really wrong with the new one.

So wait. Your making a Rift bot, but last I heard you guess had no plans. Guess that changed when you seen the potential $$. You know most software developers when they decide to expand, hire a NEW development team for said product. That way the other software doesnt get neglected. I normally dont post, but I am just trying to figure this out. Really no point in putting anything out now since 4.2 will break it.

Plus 1, Hawker and you other guys running this product and site. You have developed an awesome bot, and its great. but fuck me sideways if u guys dont start delivering. As of now you should not put release on it, it should imo still be in beta since its not stable at all. Every different update creates some problems and what not, which should get fixed. And now 4.2 is just around the corner and we are going to get a test release? When did you guys start working on it? last week?

test release because of that statement quoted ... Once out in the wild remaining bugs will pop up and be fixed as soon as found and reported ... I haven't been around crazy long but there have been patch updates that get updated once or twice after its initial update to be compatible for the patch before there is a wait for regular update. Some of you are acting like someone stole your cookies cause you can't get bot to work for you...

At the end of the day your constant whinging is getting no one anywhere. The more time devs spend looking at your bullshit the less time they spend working on a damn release.

Tbh I appriciate that we are actually getting some information regarding the status of the bot, so stop beeing so damn impatient now that we finally get some answers.

(you guys scare them dev's away, so hush!)

On a side note, the bot have more than 1 function, if BGbot don't work, then fire up something else that works for you while we wait. Atm, I am doing Arena, and all of my 8 toons are between 1300-1400 rating and have got much better gear. Else I'm farming minerals and herbs, or just run some instances. The bot is not completely broken (This kinda dispells all my angry posts earlier, dammit! )

can we change the stuck handling to NOT back up for x number of seconds?..it looks like you're setting up to shoot a field goal and very botty....just turn 45 degrees left or right (randomly?) and try going x number of yards...or strafe left/right and try forward before you back up? that's what a normal player would do..not back up 20 yards, stop, take 2 steps left, stop, then continue forward.

Alliance seems to be better meshed than Horde, as well..on horde it constantly gets stuck on the same campfire/mailbox/etc. Gets stuck, tries to unstick by backing up and sidestepping, then goes forward to the exact spot it was stuck on.

When you are at this stuck point you should click "my position" and then open up your xml file and either delete the hotspot near the mailbox(using the info you received to find where the closest coords are to the stuck point). Or you can move 50yds over and click my position, highlight the coords and paste into the same spot the old messed up coords were in the file like this: <Hotspot X="-6164.946" Y="6085.021" Z="-776.1196" />

make sure you add the "<Hotspot" in the front & the "/>" at the end. And also make sure you know where you deleted the first coords otherwise it will go hella far away randomly.

This has been my only method to combat the constant stucks in vashj'ir. Tweaking certain hotspots so I don't get stuck in the same place all the time

Character gets stuck at many of the vendors and just stands there till he DCs. Meaning he only runs for about an hour or so. Any known fixes because this makes the bot fairly useless unless I stay at the computer and babysit him.

Edit: Might have been an addon interfering with the bot.. Not sure. Look near the end of the log
