We really need more updates as soon as the team can provide them. I imagine the scare of being shut down kind of halted productivity as it's a waste of time to improve something that could receive a cease and desist order in the very near future.
That said, the vulnerability of botting is at an all time high because the only thing this bot can do is repetitive actions that produce behaviors that are just completely indefensible against any botting accusations. It doesn't take a warden client update to see who is using Demonbuddy, all they have to do is search accounts with time played, gold collected, or a games made filter. If we don't get to the point soon where we can use this bot without producing behaviors that leave us vulnerable, then we're going to start losing a huge following. The creator of AGB leaving it a huge hit to the success and benefit of this community and should not be taken lightly.
List:
1. Random Pathing - I don't think this is as hard as everyone thinks it will be. Each dungeon may be random in its construction, but the tiles of the map are not. It's not so much random pathing that's needed as bot recognition of which tile it is on, and then having a library of what paths exist in that tile for it to take.
2. Death Contingency - the bot needs to be able to continue a run when/if it dies if it will ever be efficient at farming ITEMS. This is paramount in the battle against vulnerability as the only statistic Blizzard will be able to use if the bot plays like a human is time played, which can and should be controlled by the user.
3. Methods/Sub-routines within profiles, or at least a simple *go to line* function. This alone will improve AFK-ability through user created error handling. Right now, a while loop is the only thing we have that resembles user end error handling and it all too often get's stuck.
4. More updates with indications of what's to come - It helps user-developers of scripts and plugins to know what to expect so they can focus their work around the efficiency of what the bot can and will soon be able to do. I'm sure Kick isn't the only writer with a stack of profiles waiting for the ability to use them. Our stagnation is what has allowed Blizzard to hammer us so hard. We need to keep our feet in motion because a moving target is much harder to hit than a stationary one.
I hope I don't come off as rude or ungrateful as it's completely not my intention. I'm just trying to give some feedback on what could help this product and it's community.
