when you sign in and start botting you assume that you can be banned in any minute, no matter if its a tripwire event or not.

don't tell me that blizzard didn't banned d3 bots for long time and that's the reason why you sign in and start botting.

Uhhh, yea. There is no history of blizz banning for botting in D3 compared to WoW and other games so yes. I'm sure there are a lot of people that run demonbuddy in D3 only because there has never been an official ban wave and they seem to not care because this game has no economy. Botting here doesn't affect other players in any way unless you do it in a public game

There have been ban waves, they've just been 'relatively' small and not since the RMAH went away.

There absolutely have been ban waves.

I, among multiple other friends who used DB, were banned in Vanilla all within a day of each other.

I'm mostly talking about the modern era...after the RMAH stuff.

Scroll back a bit in the ban reports. There was a banwave in february of 2015. Specifically 2/06/15. That is the end of season 1 and the start of season 2. The banwave at the end of season 1 that I had mentioned before.

Really? Because you clearly said "There is no history of blizz banning for botting in D3 compared to WoW and other games so yes."

There have been multiple ban waves. Prior to the RMAH and afterwards.

I said compared to WoW. WoW bans and ban waves are a lot more frequent; probably because those bots directly affect other players. I didn't mean to upset you, just stating a fact. Also I think of the D3 RMAH days as a completely different game, but that's just my opinion.

Your statement is correct and contradicts itself at the same time. You are correct that blizzard does not ban d3 botters as often as it does those in WoW. Yet there is a history of bans for botting in diablo 3 in the time of season gameplay. In reality none of our speculation matters, if Blizzard decided to focus its attention on diablo 3 botting they could clean house. We have no control over it and much like others have said that if you bot it could one day happen. Sure the risk seems low but it always does until it happens, the result is the same.

Out of curiosity are you DiscoDancer? You share many of that users same thoughts. :D

Nope, not sure who that is. But you're right, it is just a matter of time until they start listening to the mass complaints on their forums. Let's hope that doesn't come too soon =)
